Revision as of 04:22, 5 November 2011 by Kohkl88 (Talk | 2011 June 24 13th.Jul.11. (Wed.) 2305hrs. Went to TNB hq. at Melawati to settle the electricity deposit for the JMB P4D1. Stayed home until time for the evening walk. Actually went to the Popular Book Store to just look see for any new things happening or not. 15th.Jul.11. (Fri.) 2035hrs. Went to University Hospital for eye check. It is found that both eyes are very ok, the next check will be six months from today. Heavy rain prevented me for my evening walk, otherwise the day was just as normal. 17th.Jul.11. (Sun.) 2045hrs. Just came back from FH after spending a night there. The surounding is very well maintained now since taken over by the JMB. Due to lack of funds the buildings need facelift badly and urgently. 20th.Jul.ll. (Wed.) 1050hrs. Just wonder who was the first guy who used the word 'golden age' for the old people. How can it be golden age while the old people have to see the doctors so frequently for so many kinds of illness. In this month alone I have been to UH for my eyes, the dentist and yesterday to the clinic for the result of the blood test. Luckily there is not much of a big problem. Is that what is 'golden age'. It must be kidding?! 23rd.Jul.ll. (Sat.) 2130hrs. The good news is Lai Changxing the greatest Chinese smuggler is on his way home after escaping arrest for 12yrs by living in Canada. The bombing and shooting in Norway will wake up the Norvegians I hope otherwise they are very complacent and creat mischief to others from time to time. 25th.Jul.ll. (Mon.) 1905hrs. Went to Midvalley this morning by train. Bought some imported biscuits from Mark and Spancer. Went to MPH to look at the latest issue of the Chinese English and English Chinese dictionary. Didn't buy any. I already have a smaller version one. I am glad that Col. Gadaffi is still in Lybia, let the Nato nations that take part in the bombing of Lybia bomb themselves into bankcrupcy. Just don't let them win easily. 28th.Jul.ll. (Fri.) 0013hrs. Yesterday stayed at home except going for the evening walk. Watched the CNTV and surfed the net. Glad to know that the Chinese submesible ship can reach the dept of 5188m. The Chinese is also trying to outfit a aircraft carrier for training. It is better to be late than never. The KMT gov. in Taiwan is waiting for their foreign uncle to up-grade their warplanes as it has always been. lst.Jul.11. (Mon) 0430hrs. I am waiting anxiously to see what will be the US debt ceiling voting result. 2nd.Jul.11. (Tue.) 2315hrs. As expected the result of the debt-ceiling drama is always ended undramatically as any other issues. All that debates and arguments are for show only. More debts will be more troubles waiting ahead. Once it is in debt it is difficult to be solvent again. 6th.Jul.11. (Sat.) 2115hrs. Actually, there seems to be nothing worthy to write about. Life have been going on normally. The morning exercise and the evening walk is never missed. 10th.Jul.11. (Wed.) 1255hrs. Now that the flame is burning in their own backyard, so let us see how they handle the situation. Do you remember the torch grabbing for the Beijing Olympic, how gleeful they were? 11th.Jul.11. (Thu.) 2250hrs. The BBC is really great, with the riot in its own country it still has the time to worry about famous Chinese artist Mr. Ai Wei Wei with the title "Artist Ai 'felt close to death.' There are a lot of articles about their own social problems. So mind your problems before you laugh at other people. 20th.Aug.ll. (Sat) Wow! had been lasy for nine days but actually there is nothing fresh to write about. The whole world is bore. The war in Lybia is still going on, the most interesting thing is that they are not shooting at the human enemy but to the thin air. I presume that they don't kill but to make a lot of noise to frighten the enemy. They dressed in singlet and don't carry any ration or ammo. They don't take aim but just shoot blankly into the opposit side. You don't see any man or soldier being killed. The news from the foreign news agency is comical. Kol. Gaddafi's sons had been killed so many times but still appearing. The NATO has got another month to drop their bombs then it will depend whether they still can afford to carry on or not. 24th.Aug.11. (Wed.) 1240hrs. Does it matter who win, afterall the people who died were Libyans and the survivours will have to work to pay for the bombs and ammo given to win the hulaha - the Libyans. The real winners are the people who hid behind the screen. Pity isn't it? 6th.Sep.ll. (Tue.) 1005hrs. Went to Zhangjianjie (central part of China) for an eight days tour, from 28th. Aug. to 4th. Sep.. In between visited MZT's former house, his Stone Statue in Shaoshan village. I took a round walk and paid a three bows respect to the statute. The main attraction is the rocky formations in the park. Both of us climbed the famour 999 steps to reach the heaveny stone gate. The steps are just like the normal staircase steps. Quite a number of people who are younger than we are were scared to do it. From Changsha city to Zhangjiajie where the rocky park is is about three hundred over miles apart, along the way I was gled to see the new brick houses, the padi field was covered with golden ripe padi and various greenery. The highway is smooth and the whole length of the road is covered with trees and well-kept shrubs in the middle of the roads. In my heart I can feel the dynamism of China. Talk of Changsha city, it has a special meaning to me because it was mentioned in the book 'Defeat into Victory' by Field-Marshal Viscount Slim that the only victory for China from the long Sino-Japanese war during the WWll was in the battle of Changsha city. Of course this is only his own opinion. He was the commander of the allied forces in Burma at that time. 2011/09/10 Good writing. Interesting to hear your thinking. Aik-Siong llth.Sep.ll (Sun.) 1030hrs. Today is a very good day, it is cloudy and so it is not hot. It rains for a while in the evening but it did not prevent me from my evening walk at the Metropolitan park. Indeed it is a very good Sep.ll. It should be more of the Sep.ll days. 15th.Sep.11. (Thu.) 2205hrs. It is foolish to believe that the Libyans are free now, the real victors are the bombs and ammunitions suppliers. They are the people who will have the total free hands to set the stage for next episodes of events. episodes of events to come. 20th.Sep.ll. (Tue.) 2240hrs. The weather is kinder now, it is not so hot and humid. The North-East monsoon is already here. It rains practically everyday, either in the evening or morning. Well, life is normal for me. Knowing a lot of the world affairs from the internet. The West is in deep trouble with the national debts. They had been showing off with their luxurious lifestyle to the world with the borrowed money and now it is hard for them to pay back the debts. 22nd.Sep.ll. (Thu.) 2135hrs. The weather is splendid. It is cloudy and cool. Poor Chinese KMT in Taiwan, they are still at their old ways. They are jubilant at being able to buy arms from their old time uncle to kill their own kind. They even seek approval for their presidential election. Just wonder since when the Chinese had been so disgraceful. 27th.Sep.ll. (Wed.) 1120hrs. The morning is cool and bright. Last night was a dog-barking free night because the three young strays were taken away by the Bandaraya dog catchers. In Malaysia it is a trend that most of the Chinese households will keep one dog or may be more and that because some dogs are kept behind the fence and some are free to roam around so there will be a lot of barking going on. In the evening the dogs that are kept behind fences make speicial noises and barkings. I am a Chinese but I do not like to keep dogs because I do not want spending time to care of them. I want to spend time on my own. Strangely enough I did not see any dogs running around in the streets in China. Another interesting thing is I did not see any birds flying in the sky or on the trees even in the wooded area. I have noticed this on my many trips that I have been to China. I am sure you might have guessed the answer in my mind. 29th.Sep.11. (Thu.) 2333hrs. In the morning part went to attend the funeral of a member of Gao Assn. He died of kidney failure at age of 56. Watched the whole process of the space lab Tiangong l launch in CNTV from 2100hrs to about 2140hrs when it was announced that it is successful. Switched to BBC just to confirm how fast is the BBC, true enough it was there in its web site with a sourish head line "Tiangong-l launch betrays China's earthly ambitions". I do not really understand what the white men try to mean. But not a word is mentioned in the ll pm world news in MTV l in Malaysia. 10th.Nov.ll. (Thu.) 0920hrs. The day is fine. Went to JMB office for a while and went for the evening walk. Get ready to go to S,pore early in the morning by bus to attend the S'pore GAO association's 63th. anniversary celebration dinner. We have 10 members to attend. The S'pore GAO association was established in l948 before the separation and therefore it was the only association to represent the GAO clansmen in the then Malaya. My father was a member of the association. It is called Koh association because GAO is pronounced in Hokkien dialect as Koh. I remember my father was issued with a membership certificate and it was burnt when he passed away because it is believed that whatever belongs to him must be burnt to follow him. When I am there I will try to trace as to whether any record to this effect is still being held by the assn.. 14th.Nov.ll. (Mon.) 2140hrs. The 60th. celebration dinner was great, there were plenty of singing and the women section presented lovly dances. They must have put in a lot of hard work. Mum and EM spent the whole Sat. on shopping while I roam around the see more of the Singapore. Spent the Sunday morning to look for Koh assn. premise and finally found it. Spent about half an hour there taking some pictures and found there is no record of my father's membership. Went round the waterfront and took 4.30pm bus home. Worthy of note was Heng Jin donated S$10,000 to the S'pore Koh assn. that night. The joke was he asked me to announce it to the audience, instead I announced it as one hunder dollars so it was put right immediately by their president. 21st.Nov.11. (Mon.) 1950hrs. This evening is special, it is not raining. Went for morning walk because scared that it may rain in the evening. Went to town for a walk about to pass time. 22nd.Nov.ll. (Tue.) 2055hrs. Went to Batu Cave with mum, maid and Lip Wern and spent about three hours there and went to Kepong for roast-duck lunch. He wanted to go there to shoot at the monkeys with the toy gun. But then when we were he took pity on the monkeys and did not shoot them at all instead he tried to scare the pigeons and shot at them playfully. After lunch his mother came to take him home. By the way we took the train to Batu Cave and it was quite an enjoyable afternoon. It rained in the evening but I went to the Tmn. Rainbow for my evening excise for about thirty five mins. when the rain stopped at about seven. 24th.Nov.11. (Thu.) 2315hrs. Today is a fine day, there was no rain at all. Life is quiet for all of us. We went to have an Indian curry lunch at the Tmn Mastiara and went for an evening walk as usual. Mum is getting ready to go to Hatnyai with the Han gang because they feel that they should all get together once in a while. They will start going at 6.30 tomorrow morning and return on Sunday night. 28th.Nov.ll. (Mon.) 1910hrs. I have been living single life for the past three days while mum and maid went to Hatnya in Thailand. The rain is stopping me from going for an evening walk. Yesterday evening was the same, the monsoon rain is in its full force now. In the morning part went to Putrajaya by bus and took the innercity bus to go round the city for fifty sens only. The bus is going round the town to serve the residents to move place to place within the town. The town is well planned and it is kept very clean and tidy. Sorry I am still nor sure whether Putrajaya is a city or town. lst.Dec.ll. (Thu.) 2245hrs. Normal day wirhout any worthwhile event to write about. 4th.Dec.11. (Sun.) 0530hrs. 2.12.ll. (Fri.) Went to Machap to attend my grandpa's great grand son's wedding dinner. It was a grand dinner and we drove back after the dinner at 10pm and reach KL at 2am. My grandpa's son grew up with me but the rest of the family was not known to me until very lately. Last night that was 3.12.ll, went to attend Loke assn. 39th. anniversary. 7th.Dec.ll. (Wed.) 2240hrs. It rains daily but it does not cause big problems. Life goes on as usual. Tomorrow night we will be attending another assn. dinner to be held in a Chinese school hall at Sentul. I think this will be the last assn. dinner for 2011. 9th.De.ll. (Fri.) 1625hrs. No rain up to this point of time, it may suddenly start thundering and pour with rain. Went to JPJ with mum this morning and to the management office for a while. Last night attended the "The Federation of Malaysia Chinese Surname Associations" lst. annual aniversary dinner. It is the mother of all the surname associations in this country. I think this is a good idea so that we have a leader to co-ordinate and initiate all the conducive activities. 12th.Dec.ll. (Mon.) 2145hrs. Fine day. Read newspapers and surfed the net. Knew a lot of the world affairs. The EU seems to have agreed on the solutions to solve their economic problems except to see the end results to come. Iran seems to have the technical know-how to capture the pilotless plance from their enemy. I hope they really have it so that the super power can be checked for their wrecklessness. 15th.Dec.ll. (Thu.) 1900hrs. It is raining now so cannot go for a walk. Yesterday evening also rained but it stopped at about this time, it made my shoes wet when I insisted in walking. According to the news report it flooded the Bt. Bintang and Cheras area. So far the monsoon rain has not done a lot of damage in the country. 18th.Dec.11. (Sun.) 1700hrs. Cloudy day but without rain. Non-eventful Friday and Saturday except that we took Mei Wah and her husband to a Chineses restaurant dinner in Jinjang. We fetched them from EM's house and sent them back by train from our Batu Kentonman station after the dinner at 2244hrs because the train go straight from here to Subang Jaya station. They rang up to say that they have arrived at about 0hrs. 24th.Dec.11. (Sat.) 1815hrs. It had been peaceful and quiet for the past 5 days. Nothing special to write about. It has been cloudy but fine day. No evening walk for this evening because we are waitting for Lip Wern to come to celebrate his birthday as well as the X'mas. Strangely enough we don't hear any X'mas songs and music at all. Not like before we could feel X'mas is coming with the X'mas songs and hymn in the air. It is like the CNY without the firecrackers. 31st.Dec.ll. (Sat.) 0500hrs. Xmas had come and gone. As nomal we did nothing special except the usual turkey dinner with the family members only on Thursday night (29th.Dec.ll.). 3rd.Jan.12. (Tue.) 2135hrs. Went up to Fraser's Hill on lst.Jan.12. for two nights. The place is well maintained by the JMB except that the whole compleks should be completely re-white washed otherwise it looks terrible. It is not done because the unit owners are not paying their dues. Hope that with the present JMB's conserted effort to collect the dues from the unit owners, the resort will be put to its proper conditions. 8th.Jan.12 (Sun.) 2240hrs. It had not rained for about two weeks so the weather is very stuffy and hot. It is not very comfortable for our daily life. Life had been pretty normal for the last five days. 14th.Jan.12. (Sat.) 1045hrs. It is a lovely morning. It is fine, the sun is not too hot and the air is cool. Got up at six in the morning and went to the Tmn Rainbow's small park for exercise because I missed the evening walk yesterday due to raining. Surfed the net and learnt that the Euro crisis is appearing again and the situation between Iran and the West is very quiet. I think this is so-called the lull before the storm. 27th.Jan.12. (Fri.) 2300hrs. Luckily, went to Tmn. Rainbow for the morning exercise because it rained in the evening so it prevented me from going my evening walk. As I drove out of the gate a police patrol car was at the back of me. It signaled me to stop. I stopped and asked why, was told that my road tax has expired. True enough I had been driving without insurance and road tax since Nov. 20ll. I asked them to let me off for RM50 otherwise I will have to pay RM600.00 fine. So, that is how it goes, both of us benefitted. The question is how do they know that my road taxed had expired as they were driving behind me. That is the magic. However I have no bone to grind. Stayed home for the rest of the day surfing the net and reading the newspapers. 29th.Jan.12. (Sun.) 0250hrs. Actually I wanted to write before I went to bed last night but the internet failed to function. Luckily I went for a long morning walk yesterday morning because it rained heavily in the evening. Peter and EM came at about 1130hrs and Peter gave me and PP a RM1,000 ang pow each. EM had given the ang pows earlier. I went to lunch at the batu tiga coffee shop because mum had gone for lunch with her friends. Napped and stayed at home for the rest of the evening due to the raining. 30th.Jan.12. (Mon.) 2200hrs. Went to renew the insurance and road tax and spent the rest of the morning roaming the city. The city is still half asleep not until day after tomorrow after the ninth day of the lunar calendar. Beside that life is as normal. I went to the city by bus and returned by train. 31st.Jan.12. (Tue.) 2325hrs. Today is the nineth day of the Chinese New Year and it is the Hokkian people's new year day. Last night was their new year eve and therefore they let off a lot of firecrackers to welcome the big day. The noise continues right up to 2am. It rained heavily from 5am right up to about 6.30am. So the whole day was cloudy and the air was quite cool. Went to the JMB office to see if there is anything for me to do. That wraps up my day. lst.Feb.12. 2225hrs. 1st. of Feb. is the Wilayah Day and therefore it is a holiday. Dare not venture out of the area where we live because the city will be crowded with the foreign workers. Went to Batu Cave by train for my evening exercise by climbing the 272 steps up and down. It is crowded there because they are preparing for the Thaipusum festival on the 6th. of this month. They are putting up the tents, installing the lamp posts etc.etc.. Some early whoshippers are doing their praying before the actual date in order to avoid the maddening crowd. 2nd.Feb.12. (Thu.) 2110hrs. Tried on the sky-walk around the Jln. Perak area connecting various high rise buildings and ending up at the Pavilian complex and the convention hall. That area is newly built up area in the golden triangle. The sky-walk is like a big container-like structure built above the ground with air-con for pedestrians to walk with comfort. The rain stopped me for about half an hour to reach the KL railway station to board the train. After boarding the train it moved slowly with several stops on the way and when it reached the Sentul station the passengers were told to come down to wait for another train to take them to Batu Cave without any explaination. The waiting took about forty five minutes when the train came from Batu Cave to take us to Batu Cave. The reason was the train was running on one track because there was some repare work being carried out on the other line. By the time I reached home it was alredy four forty five. I was really dead tired. Had a bath, had a cup of Chinese tea then watched my favorite CCTV4 programme from 5 to 6pm and had a 45mins nap and had the dinner and back to normal again. 4th.Feb.12. (Sat.) 2130hrs. I do not know why I was so tired last. I was so sleepy that I went to bed at about 9.30pm. Slept well for the night and got up 6am. Went to the Tmn. Rainbow small park for exercise at about 7am for about one hour. I don't like the park there because it is small and the people there are all regulars so u keep on seeing them and the next thing is the barking dogs. It is really anonying, since the residents there are more well off so they buy bigger dogs so that they bark louder. It is status symbol that kind of thing. Went to the JMB office to make out a cheque for the electricity bill and after that went to Mamak coffee shop for a tea tarek and a roti chanai for lunch. As for the rest of the day just stayed home. Since today is Saturday so life is at its laziest point. 5th.Feb.12. Sun. 2330hrs. The biggest event of today is the GAO association CNY celebration. EM and I attended it without mum as she had other programme with her group of friends. I donated RM100, EM donated RM80.00 and Heng Jin asked me to donate RM200.00 for him while he is away in S'pore. There was quite a big crowd. The programme started from lpm until 3pm. Of course ang pow for the children is a must and the lucky draws and quessing games for the attendents were also arranged. The food were fried mee, fried meehoom, chicken curry and one or two other tib bits plus an assortment of fruits of course with the mandarine oranges. The party went on quite happily with everybody smiling away till the end. The next big event was we went round the lake at the Taman Metropolitan for our evening walk. It took us a solid one hour walk. 7th.Feb.12. (Tue.) 2125hrs. How nice? yesterday was Prophet Mohd's birthday, it was a holiday. Stayed home until in the evening went to Lake Garden for evening walk and had a mamak fried mee and mutton matabab for dinner. The maid was taken away by EM to help her in preparation of the NYC party in her house. Today is Thaipusum day and it is a holiday too. Went to EM's house for lunch on the left over of the last night party. After lunch EM and mum went for their own programme while I went for a foot massage. I was very tired and had a nap for about one hour. No evening exercise. 9th.Feb.12. (Thu.) 0705hrs.(Note: this event is for 8th.Feb.12) It was very crowded in the govt. clinic at the Kg. Batu, it took me three hours to see the doctor for my normal check up. The reason was due to the holiday on Wed. The result of the check-up was normal. The next check-up will be in four months time. 10th.Feb.12. (Fri.) 2330hrs. Yesterday, that was Thursday, morning went to JMB office to check on the clerk's performance. Received a complaint from one of the unit owners that a water tank from the roof top is over flowing. The problem was fixed by 6pm. This morning went to see Heng Jin and also to collect the RM200.00 that I paid for him for the CNY do held by the GAO assn. last Sunday as he was away from KL on that day. Reached home is already 2pm and what followed was a daily rutine for me.)
(Start Here Pa. 18th.Apr.12. (Wed.) 2230hrs. Went to town by bus to survey the Chinese writing brush and papers to practise writing the grandchildren's Chinese names. I plan to write their Chinese names on drawing papers myself to give them as souvenir when they come in May. Otherwise they will never know their names in Chinese. What the effect will ultimate imprint unto them is left to be seen. 20th.Apr.12. (Fri.) 2200hrs. Let me continue with the Colonel's story. Arrived home after a week's holiday in the East Coast, as our car stopped at the gate I saw him curled up sound asleep in the porch. I called his name softly but there was no response, so I called his name lounder, he suddenly lift up his head to listen and turned his head to look at the direction where the sound came from and lo he saw me standing there and instantly ran to me and put his fore legs on me with his tail waging vigourously as if he was embracing me and making the gesture of kissing my body. Obviously he was very very happy to see again. How he must have felt during my absence I could not fathom. It touched me deeply and till today I still can reflect on the scene vividly. 22nd.Apr.12. (Sun.) 1945hrs. A sunny and hot Sunday. At 1200hrs the swearing-in ceremony for the Gao assn. was held in a restaurant near the assn. building. The past presidents of the assn. were invited to witness the ceremony. Heng Jin, his wife and son Peng Guan were present. Heng Jin donated RM10,000 to the assn. Actually we plan to give him a 81th. birthday party but he turned it down by saying that he never celebrate his birthday, so he think that it is not necessary to have one for the 81th. birthday as well. In response to the good gesture he donated the money. The whole process of the swearing-in ceremony went off smoothly and everyone present was happy. It cost the assn. nearly RM1,500. After the lunch we adjourned to the assn. to hold the first committee members meeting for the new set of committee members. We set out the new tasks to be carried out for 2012. We decided to have our annual lunch to solicit funds on 9th. of November 2012. The meeting ended at 5pm. 25th.APr.12. (Wed.) 2135hrs. Have been busy preparing the statements of account for second quarter of 2012 for P4D1. Other than that there was nothing worthwhile to note down. The problem we have is the large amount of debts. Yet the relevant authority is not coming out strongly to help to collect the amount due. Well, there is no use of complaining. We just slog on from day to day to the best of our ability. 2nd.May.12. (Wed.) 1435hrs. Went for a 3 days 2 nithts tour of S'pore and Batam island of Indonesia from 27th. - 30th. of Apr. There was nothing great to see in Batam island really. Except the high rise hotels the rest of the town is just like the Malaysian kampongs. There is no luxuriou restaurants to cater for either Europeon or Chinese foods to talk about. There is no sunny and sandy beaches. So I just wonder what people go there for. For us we just want to satisfied our curiosity since there is a lot of reports of happenings on the island in the press. We passed a night in a cheap hotel called 81 hotel in S'pore The air-con. is OK, the bed is comfortable but the tv is with few channels and there is no place to put your soiled clothes and there is no hook or rack to hang you wet towel. The next morning while waiting for the time to board the bus for home, of course I bought a copy of Chinese and English newspaper each to read and strangly enough I found that they were so boring and dry. In the past I used to enjoy reading the S'pore newspapers bothe in Chinese and English. Now I think since I can get the news and knowledge from the direct sources from the internet, so what we can read from the newspapers seem to be out of date already. Yesterday was Labour Day, of course it was a holiday. Went to see the Chinese Navy training ship 'Chenghe" at South Port Port Klang. We were just allowed to go round the deck one complete round of the ship. It took us a great pain to have the opportunity to see it because the crowd was tremendous. I think this is an indication to the fact that the Chinese are proud of their ancestors' land although it is quite a small ship compared to the ones that are owned by the super-power, but the ray of hope is in the horizon that the day will come that the Chinese Navy will be as strong as that of other powers. 3nd.May.12. (Thu.) 1635hrs. I pity the blind Chinese dissident Chen Guancheng that he failed to relise that he is valueless for the Western propoganda that is why they did not send a special plane to take him and his family away quickly. 4th.May.12. (Fri.) 2325hrs. The weather is very very hot today. No rain. Let me tell you another dag's story. This time is my grandpa's black dog. His name is 'itam' in Malay. The time was when I was about seven and eight years old. I still can visualise him curling on the floor mat in the centre of the main door of my grandpa's house. He was a quiet dog he did not simply bark for nothing. The next thing I remember about him in particular is that he used to sit in waiting when my auntie poured the biscuits into a big biscuit tin brought back from Melaka Town by my grandpa because she would give him two pieces after completing the job. He would be happy to eat them. The biscuit was from the left over bread cut into blocks and put into oven again to bake them dry. My grandpa used to buy them from a bakery in Melaka. We ate them with black coffee for breadfast. 6th.May.12. (Sun.) 1700hrs. This part of KL is quiet, I don't know other part of KL is peaceful or not. Lately due to the gen. election is eminent so there is a lot of demonstrations going on. Now that the mother of human rights and democracy had gone home, so there should not be any more of the blind dissident's drama going on. The staging of the drama was very well planned. They must have hoped that thousand and thousand of supporters of the blind man would go to the Thiananmen Square. They spared no efforts to creat trouble for other people. 10th.May.12. (Thu.) 2300hrs. It took me three hours to go by train to Subang Jaya to bring back the maid from EM place by train as well. It will take as long if I use my car because of the jam etc. By train it cost only RM2.30 for the maid while as a senior citizen I got a free ride for three months otherwise it cost half ware for me. In the evening there was a big thunder storm raging on for about two hours. So there was no evening walk. 12th.May.12. (Sat.) 0515hrs. Woken up by the barks of the dogs at 4am and just couldn't fall asleep again. One of the annoying things of living with the Chinese neighbourhood is the barking dogs. Last time the noises made by the Chinese population was their loud talkings, loud radio music, car honkings etc.etc. When you go for morning walk you can hear them clapping their hands while walking. To me it is very annoying. I like to walk by myself quietly just to stop talking because people have been talking too much. All the troubles either big or small are caused by talkings. Comparatively the Chinese are more civilised now. 13th.May.12. (Sun.) 0435hrs. This morning the dog-barking is less. it may be due to the cooler weather. Yesterday we spent the whole morning in the PUSPACOM. This time the PUSPACOM is totally reorganised and it had really got rid of the corruption activity like last time. We will see how long it will last. We gave a farewel dinner to the maid who is going home after five years with us. We invited uncle Loon and wife, Mai Chin and her fatty daughter with her boy friend and the new maid. She will be leaving at llam with the Air Asia. 13th.May.12/ (Sun.) 2325hrs. Went to SS's house with the maid at about 10am. Proceeded to the LCCT at about 1100hrs. After checking in they bid farewell to her wihtout me. We started our journey home at about 2pm and stopped at Taipan USJ for some food as we had missed our lunch. Sent EM to SS's house to pick up her car and maid. By the time we arrived home it was already about 4.30pm. Had a nap for one hour. Thinking of going for a walk at the Metropolitan garden but the darkening sky prevented me for that. It was already about 6.30pm.,so gave up the idea of the evening walk. As we were preparing to go out for our dinner uncle Loon called and asked us whether we are happy to go to his house for dinner as he had boiled chicken(pak cham kai) and chickem soup for dinner. So we ended up having dinner in his house. It was a delicious dinner. 16th.May.12. (Wed.) 2225hrs. There is nothing to write about my psesonal life. It had been non eventful for the last three days. The weather is extremely hot and uncomfortable. The US $2b loss by the JP Morgan is quite a news. That is what it is said in the Malay proverb that "tupai pandai pandai l0mgpat, satu hari jatoh juga". That is good enough for time being. 18th.May.12. (Fri.) 1755hrs. Yesterday, went to top up my prepaid card for travelling in the Rapid transport system vehicles like Buses, LRT etc. at the Klang Bus Station LRT station. The Klang Bus station is being torn down to make way for the MRT station. Few other buildings will be involved and this has raised protest from the property ownners in the Sultan Street claiming that it is a historical heritage and it should be preserved as it is. I really don't know what is the real reason for it. I thought the MRT station will bring prosperity to the area. After seeing a lot of modern cities, KL is really a rundown city. 19th.May.12. (Sat.) 0000hrs. Went to PUSPACOM again, this time passed the test. So we can relax for another six months. Congratulations to the blind Chinese activist and his family members, they can now enjoy eating hamburgers in the country of its origin. They must be very happy now. Another thing that linger in my mind that I just cannot put it away without sayng something about it that is the govt. of KMT Taiwan is buying 66 pieces of the F16 for now and other weaponry to follow soon. KMT Taiwan is hailed as presenting the Free and Democractic China and it has to depend on buying arms to protect its while the mainland China is developing its own weaponry, that is why they have been blamed for not transparant and as a threat etc. So as a Chinese whick China you prefer? 22nd.May.12. (Tue.) 2220hrs. Sunday, went to Jln Pasar to see the sunday market and the Pudu big marke because we had not been there for three years. Monday, took Sung Fong to the veteran office at the Jln. Tun Dr. Ismail to see what he can get from the dept. since he left the service without pension. The govt is giving RM 3,ooo to the ex-home guards, Junior Liason Officers, and AC's and other servicemen who serve during the Emergency from 1948-1964. The answer is there is nothing for him since he left the armed forces much later when the emergency was over. However they are trying to persude the govt. to give this bunch of ex-servicemen some aid. To-night saw the footage from the TV that those potesters in the demonstration against the 20 summit held in Chicago is a bunch of timid, pale and frial crowd. I doubt there is anybody would care to listen to them. 24th.May.12. (Thu.) 1630hrs. Wed. Went to the Public Bank headquarter at Jln. Raja Chulan to change the new names of signatory for the Koh's assn. cheques since the President and Treasurer of the assn. have changed after the 1912 AGM. This morning went to JPJ to renew mom's driving licence. 27th.May.12 (Sun.) 1025hrs. Life have been very quiet for the last few days. This morning went to the Metropolitan garden for a morning exercise for about 45 minutes. Went to Tmn. Kolican for breakfast. As I surf the net everyday, it dawns to me that I am very fortunate to be able to read and write Chinese. I can communicate with my Chinese ancestors through their writings and carving or whatever they left behind to tell us of their experiences etc., and to listen to their stories in their own language. Through the CNTV I have learnt that the Chinese had not been totally sleeping in the last five thousand years of their history. They have the brain and a pair of good hands with which they can produce beautiful things. At this point of time the only thing the Chinese should do is to produce the war weaponries as good as if not better than the West and their have got.) ← Older revision | 2011 June 24 13th.Jul.11. Reached home is already 2pm and what followed was a daily rutine for me. 12th.Feb.12. (Sun.) 2220hrs. Yesterday (Sat.) went to JMB office to clear a bit of the paper works like getting ready the lst. qtr. statements and getting the cheque to pay up the TNB bill etc., in the marning part as for the afternoon it is the normal routine. Today is Sunday, stayed at home for the whole day except the evening walk. Tried to got to the Kepong lake garden for the evening walk but the traffic was too heavy so we turned back to our Metropolitan garden. So another week is gone. 15th.Feb.12. (Wed.) 2220hrs. Monday, busy with the JMB office for the morning part. Tuesday, went to town at 1044hrs train for a short break after remaining in the Ipoh Road for so many days. Asked the roof repair man to come to look at the roof leak at the P4D1 but he is unable to come due to his eyes problem, will come on Friday. Went to a coleague's house to discuss about the statement/ invoice of the lst.qtr for 2012. That had taken up the whole morning. 19th.Feb.12. (Sun.) 2215hrs. It had been quite busy for the last few days for the JMB affairs. AGM for 2012 was held on Sat. 18th. Feb. The turn-out was very poor. Today Sunday GAO association held its committee members meeting befor the AGM for 2012 at 2pm at the association premise to prepare for the new set of committee members for the next two years. 23rd.Feb.12. (Thu.) 2145hrs. Nothing special happening in the last three days. Had been quite busy running between home and the JMB office because the clerk had gone to see the doctor in the general hospital and getting the roof repairer to mend the leak in the block etc. This morning I went to the govt. clinik to see the doctor for my urine test. Two weeks ago when seeing the doctor for the routine check-up I told the doc. that the colour of my urine is yellowish, so he sent me for a urine test and it was found that there is a small trace of blood in it, so he told me to come again in two weeks time for another test. Unfortunately it was found it conatin more blood in it in today's test, so he is sending me to Selayang hospital for a X-ray on the 27th. Feb.. 26th.Feb.12. (Sun.) 0815hrs. Loving Sunday morning. It is quiet and peaceful. It seems that the dog-barking is kept to its minimum otherwise the first thing one hears is the barkings of the dogs. Yesterday evening went to the KL Sentul by train and explore the surroungding area just to familiary what is going on there. The area is developing tremendously. It is definitely going to be another mear business centre of the KL city. Due to the composition of the populations there I think it is really not an intelligent place to live in. 28th.Feb.12. (Tue.) 0920hrs. Just rang up the Selayang Hospital X ray department to find out whether the X ray film taken yesterday is ready for collection or not. The answer is that the printing machine is having some problem so ask me to phone again in the afternoon. The two days of medication and controlled diet (without solid food) before the X ray made me quite weak. Eatings after the X ray made me fresh as before again. Hope that there will be no big problem. 1st.Mar.12. (Thu.) 0435hrs. Went to Seleyang Hospital to collect the X ray film and will see the doctor today. It was a rainny day yesterday. In spite of the rain I still went for my evening walk under the shops verenda up to the Batu Village KTM station and took the train back. Luckily found an umbrella in the station when I alighted the train, that saved me from being drenched form the Batu Kentonmen station to the house. lst..Mar.12. (Thu.) 2310jrs. The doctor had seen the X-ray film and read the report and told me that there is nothing wrong with me. He asked me to continue monitoring my urine and see whether there is any change in its colour. So it is a relief for me. 5th.Mar.12. (Mon.) 2120hrs. 2nd.Mar. Fri. went to land office to pay the land tax for P4D1. Because I went by bus, so it took me the whole morning to finish the job. 3rd.Mar. Sat. Nothing special. 4th.Mar. Sun. Went to mom's friend's son tortoureous wedding dinner at Jinjang chinese restaurant. 5th.Mar. Mon. After the drinking and eating on the wedding dinner, it makes me feel uncomfortable for the whole day until after the evening walk. It is quite ok now. 8th.Mar.12. (Thu.) 0300hrs. 6th. had been busy with the JMB administrative matters like sending out demand letters to unit owners who owes the maintenance fees. 7th. went downtown to spend the morning part of the day. It rained contineously from about five right up to about 9pm. No evening walk. 10th.Mar.12. (Sat.) 1220hrs. Life had been peaceful and quiet for the past two days. The weather had been good as well. Its was cloudy. We are now ready to go to the airport tonight to catch the plane to China. The weather there seems to be very cold but we will make the best of it. We are ready. 18th.Mar.l2. (Sun.) 2235hrs. Returned from a week's field study of the Chinese History. I had studied it from the book when I was at school and now I went to the acturl places concerned. Qingdao was taken from the Ching dynasty by Germany at the end of 19 century and occupied it right up to the end of the first world war when Germany lost the war. The League of Nations past it to the Japanese when they split German's possession at the end of the war. The Chinese got it back after the end of the VWll and the KMT govt. let the American to use it as a naval base. It only returned back to the Chinese after the liberation of the enclave by the PLA. The second place I was most interested to visit is Qufu the Confucius's old home, Confucius Temple and Confucius Cemetery where only his decendants were allowed to be buried. I am fortunate enough to get a genuine white wine that is brewed according to the formula used by the Kong family. (Kong is the actual surname of Confucius.) We also climbed the Mt. Taisan which is said that only the worthy emperors of China were allowed to go up there to pray. Beside that we went to see part of the Yellow River that passes through the Jinan city. In a nutshell we enjoyed the tour very much inspite of the fact that our legs were swollen with so much of walking. 22nd.Mar.12. 2225hrs. Completely grounded by the flu for the last three days, only now I feel a bit better. Luckily I don't have to see the doctor but by taking two panadol three times a day. Hope that by tomorrow it will be completely OK. 24th.Mar.12. 1920hrs. Feeling much better today. This morning went to the Tmn. Rainbow small garden for some exercise. Other than that just stayed in. 26th.Mar.12. 2010hrs. Still feel weak after a week of flu followed by the cough. Yesterday went to the GAO assn. annual meeting plus the commitee members election. It went on smoothly as usual. One resolution is to give Heng Jin a birthday party in Sept. to commemorate his 81st. birthday as one of the founder members of the assn. I will head the organising committee for the preparation of the party. 29th.Mar.12. 2225hrs. Went to see the govt. doc. at the Kampong Batu for my coughyesterday. The cough really made me uncomfortable. So remained at home for the whole day. No evening walk no nothing. After taking the medicine, feel much better. Since the weather is fine so went to the taman for a small stroll 3rd.Apr.12. (Tue.) 1625hrs. 1st.Apr. (Sun.) Went to Melaka for Qingmin. The battery of Unser went flat in Machap new villege. At first we arrived at Jelutong but there was a heavy traffic jam, so we decided to go to Machap Baru to visit Ah Mok family. As we passed Machap Baru new villege we stopped at a coffee shop for a light breadfast. When we wanted to proceed to Ah Mok's house the vehicle failed to start. The local there helped us to get a machinic to replace the battery. We were really lucky it happened in the Chinese new villege otherwise you can just imagine. After visiting Ah Mokl's family it was over 10 o'clock and when we went to do the praying it was quite unbearable of the hot sun. We went our way hurriedly with my all the graves. I apologised for being late this year and we will start from KL earlier next year. This year we started off at 6.30am from EM's house while last year we arrived at Jelutong while it was still dark. 2nd.Apr.(Mon.) stayed at home after yesterday's hatic day. Through the CNTV I have learnt that the Chinese had not been totally sleeping in the last five thousand years of their history. They have the brain and a pair of good hands with which they can produce beautiful things. At this point of time the only thing the Chinese should do is to produce the war weaponries as good as if not better than the West and their have got.)

Yahoo reports that the US is planning to sell US7bil dollars worth of weapons to UAE for defence of course but defend from who. If Russia or China selling weapons to someone, it must be for aggression. I put this down because if someone happens to read this by accident in many many years to come, then it will be a piece of history. Took Rapid bus No. U80 to Shah Alam for a tour. Shah Alam is really a modern city. It is well planed. It is well maintained plus the residents there are Malays. They are mostly wage earners and therefore more discipline. To me the Chinese are rowdy and indiscipline.

10th.Sep.08.(Wed.) 21oohrs.

Went to see Dr. Lian for gaout. Feeling painful in my sole. Take precaution before it swell. Saw Dr.Yip for the molar filling, because it hurt whenever I take hot drink. It turned out to be ok for time being. Spent the rest of the day at home except going for evening walk in the park.

11th.Sep.08.(Thu.) 0715hrs.

It rain for about fifteen minutes and that make the morning cool and hope that the whole day will be cool too. Since last year the weather has been very good that is it does not make us feel like running away to Fraser Hills for cool air. It rains regularly after a few days of dry spell. Besides the weather I am just wondering as to what I should write about. Well, since it diary, it just be all about my daily life include my inner thoughts. I realised that I had been dwelling on the current affairs too much because I was angry with the foreigh reports on the Olympics etc. Now the Dalai Lama had been dumped aside as his usefullness had been exhausted. To begin with, at the age of 76 I really feel that I have entered into the real old age territory. I move slower, my right hand is shaky(find it difficult to write steadily). Eyesight is still good, teeth is about seventy per cent good. Digestion is weak, cannot eat full meal, everthing must be in small propotion. In fact it is more comfortable if the stomach is in empty state. No problem in driving, in fact I like to drive long distance sight seeing. Bodily in perfect condition with no pain in whatever part. Psychologically, don't like to meet and talk to people, fed up with people.

12th.Sep.08. (Fri.) 1330Hrs.

Last night did not sleep very well due to stomcah not feeling well. The Indian curry may be the cause but lately I cannot take solid food at night. The digestive system does not function as well as before. Strong wind started to blow at about 2pm and followed with rain but not heavy. It lasted up to about five this morning. This make the day not hot and cloudy. Till now I still haven't had my morning shower otherwise we would rush for a showver immediately coming out of bed. I had a purge in the morning and so I had a small bowl of porridge for lunch. I am feeling quite well now. It looks like I have to be very careful with the amount of food intake I take otherwise my life will be very unpleasant.

15th.Sep.08.(Mon.) 0825hrs.

Went to Malacca on Saturday afternoon and spent a night in Alice's place in order to attend Kevin's wedding dinner on Sunday night. Went to Dataran Palawan for a strall and bought a bateck shirt. Malacca is a heritage city depicting Malacca's historical relics as a gateway to the Western influence. Of course as usual the Chinese wedding dinners started serving food one and a half hours later than the time stated in the invitaion card. Noisy with singing and the record musics. Take about two to two and a half hours to finish the whole courses of dinner. Arrived KL at about l.30am. Went to bed at 3am as we had to go to SS's house to get the door key because mum left the keys to the maid who was deposited in SS's house while we were away. Woke up at 5am as usual for Monday morning's routine.

16th.Sep.08.(Tue.) 1830hrs.

Went for a morning walk, a loop via the Bt.Lima railway station. Stayed home for the rest of the day. Received an e-mail from Faith, she can really write well grammatically and systematically. Replied and told her about it.

18th.Sep.08 (Thu.) 1350hrs.

Yesterday was a routine day. No event worthy of recording. Today, I just came back from the national gallery. It is nice to be there. There, you got all the main stream newspapers, the Bahasa ones, the English ones, the Chinese one and the Tamil one ,so there shouldn't be any complain. I am real glad to learn that there is chaos in the US financial system. The bankcrupt of banks and other financial institutions. Finally the magic of creating something out of nothing is dome. Their financial experts were marvellous and now the day of reckoning has come to pass, they are left in the lurch.

19th.Sep.08 (Fri.) 2045hrs.

In the morning went to the Registrar of Society to take back the (draft) amended constitution of GAO association for correction on the layout and spelling errors etc. Sent it to the typist for retype. Lip Wern came to the house at about six o'clock, went straight away to the park up to 7.30 pm. After dinner, television and played around up to nine o'clock when they went home. That is it, called a day. Oh yes before I go off, the internet says that the US gov. has come up with a plan to resure the country's financial crisis. No details have yet been announced. I hope they just don't just print more paper money to lend it to the banks to settle their debts. One more incident need to be recorded is the tainted milk power that endanger the lives of babies in China. I don't understand how come the Chinese are so naive as to do such a heinous thing after so many instances of dishonet acts. It is a disgrace to the Chinese.

20th.Sep.08.(Sat.)0030hrs.

Slept the whole day and the body was feeling weak. In the evening part I felt better and went for evening walk at 1800hrs and came back at 1930hrs. Went a big round just to make myself really tired. Right now I am feeling excellent.

22nd.Sep.08.(Mon.) 1245hrs.

Went to Klang to get the signature of the president of the GAO association on the revised constitution to be submited for approval from the society registerar. It was returned for re-type for some errors. It had been waiting for approval for over a year now and it had been returned for re-typing two or three times. Four of us Lian Teh(secretary),Thong Peng (treasurer),wife and myself were treated to a dinner in the restaurant.(Last night-Sunday night). It is reported this morning that the tainted milk powder had caused four deaths and about over 12 thousand sick. The incident had made me to think that after all the Chinese are not too far from what the white men had said about the Chinese. It is heartless of them to do such a thing to harm the children.

23rd.Sep.08.(Tue.) 0920hrs.

The Chinese not only kill theiir own babies, they are killing themselves as well because people are no more trusting the safety of the their food stuff and other goods made in China. It is reported this morning that the head of the product quality control ministry had resigned. His predecessor was executed for taking bribe for non-norish milk powder that sickened babies.

25th.Sep.08.(Thu.) 1000hrs.

There were nothing to write about yesterday. Feel lazy to write anything. There is nothing much to write about myself. Life is just very normal. But there are a lot of stories going around, like the American financial crisis, the Chinese tainted milk powder and the forthcoming launching of the Chinese space craft etc. Hope that the launch will be successful otherwise it will be a laughing stock. The tainted milk powder has confirmed my belief that the Chinese is a dishonet race in general.

27th.Sep.08.(Sat.) 2330hrs.

Yesterday was a normal Friday. Went to Selangor club for dinner because Eik Mai had not spent up to her quota so she took us there for dinner. One thing I must put down in writing is that the beef steak and other food items served were lousy and obviously the waiters and waitress are not properly trained. Stayed at home the whole day except going to Lake Garden for evening walk. It was a very pleasant walk. The Chinese had launched three spacemen into space and one of them had appeared outside of the space capsul for a short while. I would be very happy if not for the tainted milk powder incident. I always wonder how come the Chinese can be so heartless as to knowingly poisoning people.

28th.Sep.08.(Sun.) 1810hrs.

Stayed at home until went to the Gao assn. for committee meeting to discuss the coming 25th. year annual lunch and going to S'pore for the global clansman meeting to be held on 14th.-16th. of Nov. The 25th. annual lunch is to be held on the 30th. Nov. 08. The weather for now is cloudy and it drizzle intermittenly. So we don't go for evening walk. It look like we are going to idle at home for the whole evening. The Chinese Shenzhou 7 had returned safely. According to the CNN, it is nothing much of an achievement.

30th.Sep.08.(Tue.) 1843hrs.

Today is Hari Raya eve, most of the Malay folks have 'balek kampong' and the non-muslims have gone on holiday one way or the other. The city is quieter. We went to buy Chinese tea from the usual tea merchant and also intended to see Heng Jin because we haven't seen him for quite sometime. In the Jane's information group conference it is stated that the Chinese is morderning its navy, air force and land forces and also developing new missiles etc. Why not? China had been ravaged and plundered by the western powers for a hundred years because she was weak. In fact the whole world had been done thoroughly by the western powders for hundred of years. So the wheel of fortune is to complete its full circle.

1st.Oct.08.(Wed.) 2145hrs.

Today is the Hari Raya, went to IKEA and CURVE just to look see, to past time. Had a nap, hang around at home.

3rd.Oct.08. (Fri.) 0815hrs.

Went for morning walking after two days of laziness and hamperred by rain. Yesterday evening went to see Lip Wern swimming in Damansara Selangor Club. Had dinner there and the rain stopped us from evening walk. I am OK friends but the world is in turmoil. The US is enjoying the presidential election and their financial crisis. The heartless Chinese is having the tainted milk powder problem and according to the internet report this morning that Russia is warning Ukrian not to arm Georgia. So everybody is having problems of their own, so that nobody has the time to disburb other people. Agreed, the Chinese are dumb, they don't have the system of checking food safety but why the credit fiasco can happen in US since they are so smart? If I am not mistaken, the banks in US give loans to people whom they know cannot afford pay back the loans and strangely enought those people who knowingly that they cannot afford to pay back the loans still apply for loans to buy houses, cars etc.etc.. So it is strange that this financial crisis crop up?

4th.Oct.08. (Sat.) 0810hrs.

Boring morning. Got up at 5.30am, spent about 45mins boiling water, making tea, cooked rice(maid had gone to SS's house to help as she is inviting her friends for lunch). Did my morning exercise for about 45mins. Serf the net. The world seems to be more peaceful now with the normal stuff like the US presidential election (which has been going on for months, wasting time and money), the bailing out of the financial crisis and the Chinese tainted milk powder(which have affected my sysmpaty to the Chinese people until now, I think they are very unethical and dispicable).

5th.Oct.08.(Sun.) 1825hrs.

Dull and quiet Sunday. Went to eat wanton mee at Jln. Mahameru and spent the morning at Titiwangso garden reading newspapers. Went to the GAO assn. for tea at 3pm. until 4.30pm. The time now is 2335hrs. Learnt from the internet that the banks in EU are also in crisis, they call it 'meltdown' instead bankrupt and they need to be bailout. The second item that interest me is that the Dalai Lamah is go for medical check, that rascal is only 73 years old. Good nite.

6th.Oct.08.(Mon.) 1250hrs.

Now the financial cancer has come to EU, the gang of four (Brit.,France,Germany and Italy) is putting their heads togather trying to solve the problem. Now they are experiencing the failour of their magical economic formula. During the colonial era any formula spurt out by them would have been magical. The morning is cool and cloudy. It is quite comfortable.

7th.Oct.08.(Tue.) 2120hrs.

Went for morning walk and stayed home until 12pm proceed to see eye doctor in University Hospital in P.J. Finished the check-up at about 4pm. The financial tsunami is raging on. The newspapers, TV reports are nothing else but share market and all the economic fallouts.

9th.Oct.08.(Thu.) 0635hrs.

Yesterday was a normal happy day for me but in the world at large was, in US they are waiting to see the developement of the $700 bil. salvage package, in EU the heads of states(the gang of four)are having meetings to iron out a plan to save the collapse of their banks, in Malaysia we are waiting the announcement of the Prime Minister as to whether he will be contesting the UMNO presidency in the forcoming March UMNO election. Around Asia the stock market index fell dramatically. Today (time not sure)66years ago a boy by the name of Koh Kim Loci was born. So today is supposed to be my happy birthday but to me I wished I was not born. For what? To make the crowd.

10th.Oct.08.(Fri.) 0700hrs.

Hi good morning. It is a cool pleasant morning. The internet tells me that the financial crisis in US and EU is still bad. Dalai Lama is hospitalised. The drone has killed 8 more Afghans and it appeared that lately the unmanned planes have killed a lot of people in that region. The killing field is now has moved to Afghan and Pakistan region. Nobody is bothered to saying rorry or anything like that. This is not the isolated incident.

12th.Oct.08.(Sun.) 2300hrs.

Yesterday we spent more or less the whole day on Jainab birthday party in a hotel in PJ. At the end of it we were so tired. So we went to bed at about 9.30pm. Right now we just came back from a dinner party hosted by Jainab and her husband in a restaurant. We rested during the day. The world at large is peaceful as the financial storm is raging on. Every nation is busy in sorting out their financial problem.

14th.Oct.08.(Tue.) 0710hrs.

Yesterday, took Rapid bus no. 88 went to Kota Damansara and back just to pass time. It was fun and tedious trip. Went to bed early and slept very soundly. Surfed the net after the usual morning exercise, found nothing interesting. The West is too busy with their economic troubles so they don't have the time and mood to creat troubles for others.

16th.Oct.08.(Thu.) 1345hrs.

Yesterday spent the whole morning with the dentist Dr.Yip on my tooth ache and the planting of new tooth on the right side of my jaw as the left jaw had been overused. He spent a lot of time in explaining the process of the planting and the method of payment etc. because it costs about five thousand ringgits. The moment I told him that I would consider the proposal as it involves so much money and presently what I want him to do my filling done quickly he stopped short and asked to fix the appointment with the female clerk. In the evening attended the Housing Block Joint Committee meeting because the company that is engaged to carry out the normal manageent of the property had not carried the duties properly resulting that the electricity supply is being cut off so the common area of the property is in darkness. It was decided that a meeting with the management company be held on Friday at 8pm. to iron out the problems. This morning the sky is cloudy and threatening to rain, so I decided to stay home. Hope that this evening will be rain free so that we(my wife and I)can go for the evening walk. By the way according to the internet reports the Western World is still gripped with the stock market down-turn.

18th.Oct.08.(Sat.) 1620hrs.

Yesterday(Fri.) was a quiet day for me. Due to rain there was no evening walk. This morning went to LW's concert in the kindergarten. It was quite fun seeing the children acting. The theme of the concert is mainly on environment protection. Worthy of note is we went for a bowl of mee in a coffee shop in SEA Park for breakffast and it is shocking to find that the coffee shop (the traditional Chinese type) was unkempt and the cost is high. We would imagine that the people living in PJ is of high standard.

19th.Oct.08.(Sun.) 2035hrs.

I have been alone for the chole day, mum had gone to Singapore totoise island. It is a festival for some form of god in the island. Left the house for a bowl of mee at Tiong Shing road for breakfirst. Went straight to Gao assn. after reading newspapers in lake Titiwangsa at about two o'clock and remained there up to nearly 5pm. Slept for about one hour, did some exercise, watched TV news right up to now. Had a bowl of rice for dinner that is all. Mum is on the way home now. It rained on and off since 6pm. and is still drizzelling right now.

20th.Oct.08.(Mon.) 2130hrs.

The morning was but I was not fine because I had stomach ache and a purge. I think I took dinner a bit late last night and the left over was a bit too old about two days old kept in the frig. So stayed at home for the whole day but went for an evening walk for one solid hour. It is raining now. The Western wold is facing economic problem, a very grave problem so the world is relatively quiet.

21st.Oct.08.(Tue.) 2025hrs.

It has been raining since 2pm. It was fine in the morning. No activities for me, copletely resting the whole day. The world seems to be standing still because the heads of major developed counrties are sickened with the economic troubles. The trouble making NGO's are extremely docile because of possible lack of funds to be active. So nobody sees the Dalai Lama, An Sun Su Chi is forgotten and the anti-govt.demonstraion in Thailand is not getting support from the foreigh NGO's. They would have been very busy with this kind of hu-ha.

22nd.Oct.08.(Wed.) 1815hrs.

The morning part of the day was very nice, cool, breezy and not sunny. But it started to rain at 4pm. by now it had stopped. Read newspapers and surfed the net. Everything seems to be peaceful.

23rd.Oct.08.(Thu.) 1845hrs.

Went to see Heng Jin with Thong Peng to collect US$200.00 for the registration fees for GAO assn. meeting in Singapore on the 15th.,16th. of Noc.08. He will go with his son Peng Guan. After that we went to Thong Sin road for a bowl of Yun Dan mee at the corner coffee shop. Napped and surfed the net. Mum suggested that we go to Titiwangsa for a walk after dinner. I agreed although I had my morning walk. Mum had not been walking for quite sometime because of the rain. The world seems to be peaceful without any big event happening. All the world rascals are bogged down by the economic problems. Actually the cause of the trouble is simply because those economic experts created some certificates and named them with flowerly names and started trading on them for profit passing from one hand to another with borrowed money. When the time come for the payment of the borrowed money, they find that those papers are worthless and no more money to be borrowed. The banks gone bust.

30th.Oct.08. (Thu.) 0750hrs.

Strange, all the previous entries from 16th. of Sep. to 28th. of Oct. 08 had disappeared.

Yesterday spent the whole morning with the dentist in Subang accompanied by EM. After the dentist we went to One Pertama to buy bus tickets to Singapore for the GAO assn. celebration on the 15th. and 16th. of Oct.08. In the afternoon went to the Registra of Society to verify the approval of the change of assn. constitution. Feeling lazy and slept for two hours from 4pm. to 6pm.

1st.Nov.08.(Sat.) 0707hrs.

When 'help' become interferrence. This is a long story for me to write and I don't know how to write it to express my inner feeling. The happening made me very angry, sad and a lot of other feelings. I only can put down the main point of it that is about the gathering of GAO assn. in Singapore. About the purchase of bus tickets for my fellow clan members. My daughter's reminding of getting back the payment and my wife's opinions of my fellow members, upset me for the whole night. The only person I blame is myself. The reason is I just cannot afford to leave everybody to be myself. At this hour (1810hrs), I am still cannot get over my mood over the incident last night. From now on I will write bit by bit about my wife as to what kind of a woman she is according to my understand of her. She cannot read or write eighter in Chinese or English and she is very lazy in learning. She was given the opportunity of learning English when we were just newly married when she stayed with my father in Melaka while I was away with the army. The teacher was an Indian English teacher liveing next door to my father's house. She stopped learning with no apparant reason. She speak loudly and very much like to bud in while other people still talking because she does not listen what other people talk while she has a lot of things in her mind to tell others. Never never never admit any errors, mistakes wrong reasons etc. always argue to the end. Like to linger around wasting time. Like diamonds and jellery stuff. Like to spend time plenty plenty plenty of it on shopping. Like to chit chap with people on any mundane subjects (in short gossipping stuff).

2nd.Nov.08.(Sun.) 1400hrs.

The weather in the morning is pleasant with drizzling from midnight ending at about 6am. I just cannot get over my sore mood. Will stay at home until 3pm.,then I will go to the assn. for tea and evening walk. No heart to write anything else.

4th.Nov.08.(Tue.) 2150hrs.

Yesterday, spent the whole day visiting assn. members asking them to attend the anniversary lunch function and ask them to donate to the assn. fund. Today, in the morning part went to the Lake Garden to while away the time. Had a nap and then went for evening walk along the railway line to see how the new track is getting on. Today is also American election day. Read an artical about the Obama's threat on changing China if he is elected President of USA. I remember the same was also said by the small Bush before but China is still the same while he is leaving office. I love to see how the new president of USA change China.

6th.Nov.08.(Thu.) 0705hrs.

Yesterday, took Lip Wern to the Science Centre and spent the whole morning up to nearly 3pm.. Reached home at about 4pm. and nabbed up to 5.30pm. Learnt that Obama was elected to be the 44th president of USA. Finnally the Americans have learnt from the Chinese great leader and the Chief Engineer of modern China (Teng Siow Ping) that it does not matter whether it is a BLACK or WHITE cat as long as it is clever to catch mice is a good cat. So let us see what the USA black cat can do for the Americans. This morning went to the GAO assn. with Thong Peng and stayed there up to lunch time. Came back as normal had lunch and a nab up to 4.30pm. The rain prevented us fro going for a walk in the park.

8th.Nov.08. (Sat.) 0735hrs.

Yesterday, nothing to report. Stayed at home the whole day except for the one hour evening walk along the railway track. The progress on the double electric track is going on smoothly. This morning is fine and cool. It is a perfect weather. There was no rain in yesterday evening and the night was warm needing airconditioning to sleep. The Western powders are busying with their economic problems and so the world is very much quieter. There is no demonstrations anyway even in Bangkok is quiet. Nobody is demonstrating and killing themselves for democracy etc.

9th.Nov.08.(Sun.) 2250hrs.

Nothing to report for morning part of the day. Read newspaers and rested until tea time at the association. Then SS's family came for a crab dinner and stayed until 2000hrs. It had been very quiet.

10th.Nov.08. (Mon.) 2245hrs.

Went to roam about Brickfield with nothing to do. The whole world is very very peaceful. The Wester powers are bogged down by their economic problems and they are really busy handling the crisis. In the home front, UMNO is busy with their own party election. The political situation is quiet now until the party election, depending who become the PM. No matter who become the prime minister the polical scenario will definitely be different from the past before the political sunamie.

12th.Nov.08.(Wed.) 1730hrs.

Yesterday stayed at home for the whole day except went to Titiwangsa for a walk in the night at about nine thirty pm after Eik Mai went home after the music class. Because we are going to Singapore for the GAO assn. meeting on Friday morning, so she is replacing the classes. This morning sent the car for servicing at Subang and waited there until its completion and reached home about 12pm.. Because Peter recommended the machenic to us so we send our vehicles there for repair and servicing. Napped from 3.30pm and now I am here writing. It is raining quite heavily now and so it looks like we won't be going for a walk. Strange it is very quiet all over the world, there is no rioting, burning of vehicles in the streets, demonstrations for deocracy just because of the global economic crises?

13th.Nov.08.(Thu.) 2232hrs.

Went to taste the food for the lunch for the forthcoming GAO assn. do. Other than that there is nothing much to write about. At night went to the Joint Committee meeting at eight to about ten. There is nothing much to talk about except people just refuse to pay the maintenance fees etc. Tomorrow we will be going to Singapore for the world GAO assn. meeting. There is nothing much to do actually except just to get together. Of course there will be lectures and exchanging of mementos. Anyway it will be fun to hear stories from other lands.

18th.Nov.08.(Tue.)

Went to Singapore by bus to attend the GAO assn. convention for two days, Saturday and Sunday. Caught the bus from Singapore to KL at 1430hrs and arrived at 7.30pm. last night. The convention was fun and tiring. At lot of reports from various assn. from different part of the world. The associations are mainly from Asia. There were about 600 bundred members turned out. The next convention will be held in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand in 2010. We will certainly attend if I live long enough till then. After a night rest, I feel fresh and the morning is equally fine and cool. At about 1200hrs the Alamos tribepeople will be arriving. I would like to see how a crowded family life like.

19th.Nov.08.(Wed.)

They are already here. They arrived at about 1500hrs. and one night had gone peacefully. No activity taking place this morning as they claimed being tired. However Aik Siong, his wife and the baby took an hour walk in the Metropolitan park

23th.Nov.08.(Sun.) 0935hrs.

Wow, so many days had gone by and yet I did not realise that I had not written anything at all and still thinking that it was just like yesterday.Actually there is nothing much to write about. Everyday is just the same. This morning while surfing the net I came across an article in BBC about Chris. Patten's book. After failing to creat troubles for China during his tenur as the last governor of Hong Kong and now he has turned into a confused fortune teller telling all kinds of misfortunes for China and other Asian countries. This is not an unfamiliar habit of the Western bumbs. If they had been right, China had not been in existence today. When I was young during the cold war era I had read thousands and thousands of this kind of articles and books and yet China is growing ever stronger. The westerners are nothing but a bunch of grandmas and sour grapers. If democrycy means overturning and burning of buses, cars and damaging public propertyies then good luck to you "Democracy".

24th. Nov.08. (Mon.) 1315hrs.

Read the Star and Nanyang and also surfed the Yahoo,BBC,CNN in the early part of the morning. Surfed the Asian sites after 1000hrs or later because by then only people would be working. The Americans do the spending and live luxuriously and thus bankrupt their banks and they are now asking the world to pay for it. That is what happening in the G20 meeting in Washinton. The most amazing thing to me is that since Aerica has so many smart economists telling people how to manage their money and expounded many many economic systems and yet they cannot solve their own economic problems.

27th.Nov.08.(Thu.) 1720hrs.

It is raining heavily outside. Yesterday we were caught in the rain when we went to Titiwangsa for evening walk. Eik Hong and Foo Chai were sock to the skin. Luckily we went to the shed a step faster otherwise the small fellow would be caught in the rain as well. There was nothing much to write about. This morning we went to Puspacom to have the school bus for fitness testing. It failed due to faulty breaks and excessive smoke. So we have to go again.

28th.Nov.08.(Fri.) 1630hrs.

The sky outside is darkening. Luckily went for morning walk at 7am. If it does not rain I will be going to the Lake Garden for a leisurely walk. The Indian govt. still have not settled the Mumbai attack. Some people are still held hostage. The rioters in Bangkok are still seiging the airport and many Malaysian and Singapore tourists are still stranded in the airport

2nd.Dec.08. (Tue.) 1835hrs.

Again three days had gone by without me realising it. Saturday night attended the Chinese Assembly Hall 85th. anniversary dinner and on Sunday attended my own GAO association 25th anniversay lunch. Monday(lst. Dec.) nothing special happening so no writing. Small Bush before relinguishing his presidency said that he regretted that he started the Iraqi war on the belief that the Iraqi really owned the WMD. Well I had prophesied well before the war while people were talking as to whether America would attack Iraq or not, my answer was always affiramative that Small Bush would bang Saddam Hussen whether he really possessed the WMD or not because small Bush wanted to fulfill his father's wishes to finish off Sadam. Unfortunate for Sadam small Bush was put two terms into the White House. It does not matter now, ten of thousands of Iraqis had died and the country is in ruin as intended to. A purpose had been served. Who is to blame?!

5th.Dec.08.(Fri.) 1225hrs.

The fixed deposit annual saving rate has been cut from 4% to 3.5% due to recession. As far as I knowe this is to make people to spend but not to save to stiulate the economy of the country. I don't see the logic in this. Say come to the end of in when I don't have any money, who is to give me. In the West one may have the welfare handout but in the Asian countries there is no such a thing, so what then? I have heard of the economic depression of the l929 and l930 when I was young. It seemed that my father was in ficancial ruin because of it because the rubber price at that time was at its lowest. My father was in the rubber industry so he was badly affected. My father was in the rubber industry for the whole of his life. He only made some money during the Korean War era when the rubber price was at its peak. So he bought some 20 to 30 acres of small holding and lived on it until he passed away in l967.

6th.Dec.08.(Sat.) 1700hrs.

The recession is raging on. The price of crude oil is US44.00 per barrel and the palm oil price is also at its lowest. US, Europe and Japan are badly hit with job losses, business bankruptcy. As a onlooker it is a real spectacle. As a pensioner I am only affected by the inflation, that is to say my money power is weakened. Luckily the inflation rate is quite small at the moment.

7th.Dec.08. (Sun.) 1140hrs.

Air Siong and his gang had departed for Melaka with mom, eik mai and her husband at about 1100hrs. I volunteer to stay behind. It is so peaceful now. So the French president Sarkozy met the Dalai Lamar ignoring the Chinese warning, the Chinses must teach the kurang haja French a lesson.

8th.Dec.08.(Mon.) 0840hrs.

It has been raining since last night, in fact yesterday was cloudy for the whole day and it drizzled intermitently. The yearly north-east monsoon is already here. The whole gang had gone to Melaka and I am all alone at home. How peaceful it is. Now they talk about regreting for going into the Iraqi war based on flawed intelligence. Are you going to believe it?! They had been boasting how efficient their CIA was, they claimed that even Sadam fut in his office they would be able to detect it. If one's memory is good you can still remembers that they could not even wait for the completion of the UN WMD inspector's investigation.

9th.Dec.08.(Tue.) 0750hrs.

I am very happy to learn from the internet that the publisher of Chicago Tribune and Los Ageles Times has filed for Chapter ll bankruptcy protection law. I hopr this is the begining of the media sunarmi so that there would be a lot of those rubbish reporters run out of job. Without them snooping around minding people's affairs and spreading rumours and lies on ohter people's countries, the world would be much more peaceful.

10th.Dec.08.(Wed.) 1750hrs.

A fine day. Everything is going on nicely. So far I cannot think of anything to write about. China is celebrating their 30th. year of reform. From what I can feel she is doing very fine inspite of interference from the West and their lackey in Asia. It does not matter what form of govt. as long as it can provide the essentials of life for the people and build up the nation, it is a good govt. What I think what China should have now is a good economic policy which can ward off any interferrence from any quarter.

11th.Dec.08.(Thu.) 2130hrs.

It is raining now, it started raining since about five o'clock. Tracy and I went to Metropolitan for an evening walk in a drizzle. In the afternoon went to JPJ to renew Poh Poh's bus sekolah driving licence. Other than that there was nothing much happening. The children have gone to antie Sing's place for a night.

14th.Dec.08.(Sun.) 1600hrs.

It is raining on and off but not heavily and the sky is gloomly. Nothing much is happening, drove Tracy to the Metropitan park for morning walk that is about all.

16th.Dec.08.(Tue.) 1430hrs.

The weather is fine but clouddy, it may rain anytime from now. The whole gang with Poh Poh and the maid have left fo Penang for four days and 3 nights at about 12 o'clock. I am left alone voluntarily. If someone would ask e what I think of the shoe thrower, I would say that he is a real hero without any hesitattion. (If you want to know the full story about the shoe throwing at the US president George Bush, you have to read the story yourself. It is too long for me to write it down here. Lately since the economic surnami, there are a lot of funny funny stories comeing out from the US, like the US $50 billions fraud, banks bankruptcy, credit card companies go down etc.etc. which one would have thought that it cannot happen in US because you believe that they are so efficient.

17th.Dec.08. (Wed.) 1750hrs.

It is a fine, cloudy and cool day. Spent the morning rounding the city. Had a nap and now is planning to go for a evening walk at Titiwangso park.

18th.Dec.08.(Thu.) 0400hrs.

Got up at 0300hrs, rolled in bed trying to sleep again but failed,so instead of wasting time in bed got up and turned on the computer and surfed the internet. Loh, what I found, I came to know that the Woolworth Stores in London are closing down in Jan. 2009 after operating for 99years. I first came to know about the store when I went to England in 1959 to 1960 for my military training. I heard quite a bit of story of the company and now it is going to close down. The news surprised me a lot. I must thank to the computer and the internet for it bring me a lot of stories to read and thus keep me profitably occupied. This morning I also read about Stanly Morgan's loss, Bernad L. Madoff Investment Securities etc.etc.

19th.Dec.08.(Fri.) 1728hrs.

The weather is hot and humid. A perfect normal day for me. The gang has not arrived from Penang yet, they are now in Ipoh and poh poh is going to "ta pau" a beef noodle for me. No news from the internet I think those rascals of the world are busy with their economic problems. Banks are closing down, car factories are closing down also. As a onlooker from the outside it is a kind of fun.

21st.Dec.08.(Sun.) 1440hrs.

Yesterday was a normal Saturday. Nothing to report. Today, the weather is fine, hot and humid. Hope that it will rain heavily to wash away all the rubbish and the stagnant water so that the mosquito eggs will not have enough time to hatch. The rain did come in the evening heavily for about fifteen minutes. I hope it did the job of fluching the stagnant water in the empty tins or on the ground.

23rd.Dec.08.(Tue.) 1855hrs.

The performence of the computer is very bad in that the connection etc. is slow. It seems that everything we asked for was appearing very slowly, sometimes it won't appear at all. There is nothing much happening so there is nothing much to write about. The economic situation of the world is very bad for those writers to harp on because they involved the smart people in the west.

27th.Dec.08. (Saturday.) 1045hrs.

Xmas come and gone. There is nothing special to write about. It seems that the businesses is very badly hit by the economic turmoil. We are now at Fraser Hill Silverpark apartment. We came here yesterday. The weather is cool and pleasant but slightly on the cold side. Whatever it is. it is very pleasant without any crowd. This is the first time I surf the computer here. The connection is OK, it may be due to today is being a Saturday.

31st.Dec.08.(Wed.) 0435hrs.

Got up at 0400hrs, could not sleep again. So here I am surfing the internet. I am thankful to the internet because it enables me to pase my time fruitfully. Spent three days up at the Fraser Hill. Acturlly we intended to spent two nights up there and we found that the weather was so nince that we spent one more night. ( We here is referred to Aik Siong's family.) On our way back we went to Rauf and Bentong way. Yesterday 30th. Monday spent the whole morning with the dentist at Parkson, Subang and the cost was RM230.00. Had a nap and went for a walk at Titiwangso in the evening and finally went to mamak restoran at the Gurney Road. The old mamak maken shop that I used to go when I was in the Armed Forces because it is on the way to Mindef. That is how I spent my glorious day.

4th.Jan.09.(Sun.) 1050hrs.

Actually there is nothing much for me to write about but in order to keep my diary going and to keep the habit of writing, so I just write something. Right now I am planning to take a ride in the car for a look see around KL city and ended up in the Lake Garden for a evening walk.

5th.Jan.09. (Mon.) 1630hrs.

Feeling lasy for a walk this evening. The weather is fine and the gang has yet to arrive from Singapore. The day is peaceful and quiet. In the globle scene, the economic tsunami is still on but less talked about because it is happening in US and European countries like Britian, France and some other white nations so nobody like to talk and write about it. In the middle east Isreal has cut Gaza strip into three pieces. Other than that there is nothing much happening.

7th.Jan.09.(Wed.) 1130hrs.

The morning is fine and cool. Personally it is nice and quiet for me. The election in Kuala Trengganu is going on fiercely although it does not affectly me but I do wish that BN be punished severly after fifty years of trickery with the national politics.

9th.Jan.09.(Fri.) 2020hrs.

It is a fine day but a bit heaty. Nothing much going on. The economic meltdown makes eveything quiet. The economic experts seem to have nothing to offer for making the whole thing better unlike during the economic booming time they are busy making predictions and offering all sorts of theories. So far three billionairs have committed suicide because of economic rundown. One German jumpred onto a moving train, one American by shooting himself while the other American how he took his own life was not clear. It was reported that he was found dead at home.

11th.Jan.09.(Sun.) 1740hrs.

Yesterday (Sat.) spent about 13hrs with Heng Jin and his wife. First we visited his shop and he took us to the restaurant next to his shop for lunch wiht Hokkien fried mee etc.. Then we went to his palm oil estate at Batang Berjuntai. His driver took us round the estate to look around explaing a bit of the palm oil trees to Aik Siong's children. After which wee were taken round the palm oil extraction mill for a quick visit. The manager of the mill took us round the mill by explaining the processes of the mill. By then it was 5pm and from there we proceeded to Kajang for a Satay dinner. All of us devoured the satay like hungery volves. After the satay meal we went to his house in Country Height. It is a huge house with a swimming pool in the centre of the house and fronted with a lake. We stayed there for about one hour by then it was already 11pm. By the time we arrived home, it was well passed 12pm. The house costs about 3.5 millions in 7 or 8 years ago and by now it should be worth about double the prise. This morning I woke up at about 6.30am and feeling quite fresh though. After breakfast mom and I took a car ride to the newly opened strect of road from Batu Cave to Ampang highway coming out at the Bukit Antarabangsa foot hill.

12th.Jan.09.(Mon.) 1855hrs.

It is raining now, it started at about 1730hrs as I was preparing to go for a evening walk. This morning the weather was good. So far there is nothing happening worth writing about. Stayed home for the whole day. The gang will be leaving on Wed. night and now they have gone to PD with SS. Last night they spent a night in EM"s place to watch the England football match.

16th.Jan.09.(Fri.) 0650hrs.

Last night I wrote about Thusday's event but when I click the Save Page and hit the enter butoon it went off totally. I wrote last night(Wednesday's night) that we sent them off to the airport for the lam flight. After seeing them off to the waiting labby we started to drive homw and reached home at about 1pm. The next morning I got up at 5pm as usual and did what I was supposed to do because the Bus Sekolah was going to run as normal. Yesterday the maid cleared and cleaned the whole house and the day was so quiet and calm without them. My daughter-in-law is a white American woman. I hope my grandson would be lucky engouh not to marry a white woman. If one is to marry a white woman one has to dialing-ing her for the whole day, the whole month, the whole year and one's whole life. All ancesters" Feng Sui will be wiped out.

18th.Jan.09. (Sun.) 0755hrs.

Yesterday evening went to the Titiwangsa park for evening walk and ended up in the mamak coffee shop at Gurney Road for a mutabab and mee goreng dinner. Reached home at about 10pm. Aid Siong skyped us with his Fu Yi's photo. So, no writing. Friday night attended the wedding dinner of the grand son of Kok family of the ex-China Art Co. It was a grand dinner and the dishes were delicious. The Kok story is a tipical story of from rags to riches. He started off from a shop assistant and became a saleman and now he is more or less a sole supplier of antic furnitures in the city. The company that he used to work for had closed down due to the changes taken place in Batu Road area. Lip Wern family came to the house after dinner in the Chinese restaurant. Actully the mother arranged for him to come to the house and then proceed to the Metropolitan Park but he chosed to go to swim instead of going to the park. He chosed to swim because he just learnt swimming while the gang was here.

20th.Jan.09.(Tue.) 0900hrs.

Yesterday was a normal day for me. In the morning went to the Metropolitan park for a walk and in the evening walked along the railway line just to see the progress made. The world seems to be immersed in the preparation of the inauguration of the 44th. president of the United States of America, Barack Obama. Everything else is peaceful.

21st.Jan.09.(Wed.) 0715hrs.

The morning is a bit humid and uncomfortable but with the helf of the ceiling fan and table fan life if quite pleasant. We did not see the US presidential inauguration telecast because we don't subscribe the Astro station. So Barack Hussein Obama is the President of the most powerful nation on earth in history. He has the power to destroy the earth, the whole humanity. So let us see what he can do. Hope that he will not add more problems for the world and creat more miseries and sufferings.

22nd.Jan.09. (Thu.) 1850hrs.

It is raining now. Yesterday evening it also rained for about half an hour heavily. Today the morning part was ok but it become humid and hot towards the afternoon. The rain will make it cooler at night. The day passed by normally with no earth sharttering events happening. But the economic turmoil is still raging on. The world had been living on the false prosperity that was created by America and now that bubble has burst.

24rd.Jan.09. (Sat.) 0900hrs.

Yesterday went round Puchong are with the Rapid bus. With 2 ringgit fare one can go round anywhere for the whole day. This morning got up at 0530hrs, made a cup of red tea with a piece of Indian dried bread as biscuit for breakfast. Went to the Metropolitan Park for 50 minutes walk. The morning is lovely, bright and cool. Surf the net before taking a bath and get ready for the day. Now is 1730hrs, just after surfing the Yahoo and there was an article on the American policy on China. When Obama was campaigning for his presidency I remembered that he mentioned something about "to change" China and now he just came to work for two days he is already letting out some hints on dealing with China, so from now on let us see the process of how the black president is going to deal with the yellow men. I still can remember the spy plan incident immediately after the 43th. president of the USA took over power. How he and his secretary of state (gen. Collin Powell) threatened China over the release of the spy plane.

26th.Jan.09. (Mon.) 2055hrs.

Today is the first day of Chinese New Year. For me it is a normal day. This is my attitude towards the so-called the Chinese New Year day. I just follow what everybody else is doing- eating. Strangely enough there is so quiet this year. There is no fire crackers at all for the whole day and even last night the New Year eve it was so quiet. That shows that if the authority enforced the law properly, anything can be done. Last time, they banned the firing of crackers but crackers were being sold openly. The custom department also did not discover the smuggling of fire crackers as much as the cases of smuggling before the new year like this year. Why? your guess is as good as mine.

27th.Jan.09. (Tue.) 1850hrs.

So Mr. JR is the BBC's snoopy based in Beijing. He is reporting all the bad things happening in China. But, I bet you he can not cause a revolution in China. It took five thousand years and from billion and billion of people to produce one Chairman Mao. The present so-called activists, desidents ect. are nothing but small chiccos. I just wonder where they get their income to survive. Do they live on hand out from the foreign espionage agencies?

31st.Jan.09. (Sat.) 1400hrs.

28th.Jan.09. stayed at home for the whole day. 29th.Jan.09. went to Pagoh,Johore to visit a relative of mom suffering from nose cancer. Reached home at about 9pm. Came back via Melaka for a pork satay dinner. 30th.Jan.09. stayed home. EM and Peter visited us and gave us a RMl,000 ang pow each. They came in a sport Audi. According to mom it is very nice to look at and to ride in. Today is the eve of the Wilayah Day. It is raining now and it had been raining on and off since 1200hrs. Hope that tomorrow will be fine, so that the Wilayah Day celebration in Titiwangsa Lake will be a joyous one.

1st.Feb.09. (Sun.) 2100hrs.

City Day celebration was held in Lake Titiwangsa. Did not go there, afraid of traffic jam. Sent Alice Soo to her frieds's funeral parlor. Went to mom's friend's house (nee eng). Stayed there for about one hour listen to the old stories. SS treated us to lunch at SS2 restaurant. Went to Metropolitan garden for a walk after a nap. Watched news at RTM One, a bit of entertainment programmes, that's it.

2nd.Feb.09. (Mon.) 2130hrs.

Wilayah is having holiday today because Wilaysh Day fell on Sunday, yesterday. Went to Kepong Jusco to buy a short and sport trousers. Went for an evening walk at the Lake Metropolitan after two hours' nap. That's it, called for a day.

3rd.Feb.09. (Tue.) 1715hrs.

It is raining heavily now. It is a pity that the 27 years old whiteman threw a shoe at the China's premier Yen Jiabao was not an inovator because the first person to do it was an Iraqi. He threw a pair of shoes one by one at the president of USA. Well, Michael Phelps don't be sorry for showing your picture on the inhaling of the marijuana, in fact I would like to see it more. It appears that London city is full of professional demonstrators otherwise where do they get their money to life on.

4th.Feb.09. (Wed.) l825hrs.

It is drizzling now, it stops me from going on my evening walk. The internet connection is very lousy this evening. Went to buy a English-Chinese-Malay dictionary at Kepong Jusco for RM29.95. After that took a bus trip to Damansara Permai and returned home. The bus trip cost only RM 2.00 by Rapid bus service. (The RM2.00 bus fares system has to be explained separately.) Damansara satelite town is well maintained and appeared to be very orderly. Had a nap and usual cup of tea and here I am in front of the computer. Yesterday evening at about this time after a heavy shawer there was a flash flood around the Parliament House and caused a huge jam.

5th.Feb.09. (Thu.) 1915hrs.

Luckily I went for a morning walk this morning because it is raining again. At about 1100hrs I took a bus trip down to Chow Kit thinking of getting another bus to Kepong area but took the wrong bus so went back to Chow Kit. To just passing the time I took a walk round the whole area. So it is enough exercise for me for today.

7th.Feb.09. (Sat.) 2105hrs.

No writing yesterday. It was a normal day, morning walk for one hour and evening walk at Lake Titiwangsa plus the normal exercise with the fix gagets. Went to Bricksfield for a jalan jalan. Had a nab and stayed at home while mom has gone for CNY small makan at Si Mui's house. Will go for a morning walk tomorrow morning.

8th.Feb.09. (Sun.) 1345hrs.

The net result of the Perak assembly council power struggle is BETRAYAL-MONERY-POWER. After that it will be use Power to make Money and more Betrayal. One needs not go to Shakspere's dramas for human frailty.

9th.Feb.09. (Mon.)

Went to dentist and went round Shah Alam for a ride just want to know about the City.

10th.Feb.09. (Tue.) 1335hrs.

The weather is fine, cool and sunny. It might rain this evening. Changed driving licemce for two more years. It rained in the evening, so no evening walk.

11th.Feb.09. (Wed.) 0950hrs.

At this moment the weather is lovely. Cool and sunny. To make money is quite easy. Join the opposition party got elected and ross over to Ruling Party. It means millions ringits.

12th.Feb.09. (Thu.) 2100hrs.

Took Rapid bus to One Utama changed a bus using the same ticket to K L and from KL back home. Starting at ll00hrs and ended at 1630hrs. That is a whole day.

14th.Feb.09. (Sat.) 1830hrs.

No thing to write. Everyday is the same. At the moment I just came back from a Rapid Bus ride rounding the Cheras area. Got stuck with the traffic jam to and fro. The weather is getting hotter. The trees and grasses are withering. The world economic run down is still raging. Besides the shooting and bombing in the Gaza area, the rest of the world seems to be quieter. Uncle Sam is busy with his own problem and those busy body writers also find that it is shameful to bark on other people's affairs while their own affairs are in a mess. As it is now if they can keep their jobs would be very lucky already.

17th.Feb.09. (Tue.) 2200hrs.

No connection for the whole Sunday. Went to Titiwangsa TM Point to complaint on Monday and I was to trouble shooting with them. Tried but not successful due my lack of techinical knowhow of the computer. Today is Tuesday, there was no connection for the morning part until about an hour ago I switched it on just to see what is happening for fun and lo the connection is back again. I am now connected to the world again.

19th.Feb.09. (Thu.) 1550hrs.

The TM Net techician just left after reconnecting my computer which had been on and off for the few days since last Sunday. I feel so happy again otherwise it had been like a rock had been pressing on me. Really the computer makes life more fully. The weather is oppressing. It makes life slightly uncorfortable with the intense heat.

22nd.Feb.09. (Sun.) 0745hrs.

There was nothing much happening on Friday, 20th. of Feb. I remembered that I stayed at home for the whole day and went for evening walk only. Yesterday, Saturday, 21st. Feb. went to the dentist for denture by bus at Subang Parade and spent half of the day in the Rapid Bus. I do not blame the bus but the traffic jam. I do not blame the road or the traffic system, it is just too many vehicles on the road and people is still buying more cars. People loves cars you see. So what is the problems? I just wonder why no one is really looking the real problem. The real problem of the world to-day is simply because there are too many people being produced. MAN is the real problem of the world. Now is 1715hrs. The computer's working speed is very slow. It is raining quite heavily after a short dry spell since the Chinese New Year about twenty days ago. Yesterday was particularly heaty. It is very comfortable now.

23rd.Feb.09. (Mon.) 1430hrs.

It is a working Monday. The school bus is running. The weather is fine and quite cooling after the rain last night. Everythins is going on smoothly.

25th.Feb.09. (Wed.) 1645hrs.

The sky is clouday. It rained in the early hours for a short while then it stopped and remain fine till now. Plan to go for an evening walk.

27th.Feb.09. (Fri.) 1450hrs.

Went to KL for a round,so that I would not be cut off from civilisation by staying home all the time. Surfed the net this morning and found that the Chinese govt. had also publiched a report on the American abuse of human rights on the their people as well as foreigners in reply to the publication of the human rights abuse by the Chinese govt. That is the best way to counter their action instead of protesting aboud.

28th.Feb.09. (Sat.) 1855hrs.

The rain stops me from going for an evening walk for now. I hope it will stop awhile more to neable me to go on for a walk. Nothing spectacular for me to write about. Stayed at home reading newspapers and surfing the net. The connection is real bad due to a glitch somewhere so the connection to foregin websites are bad that was announced by the TM net in the newspaper two days ago. It is anticipated that the normal connection will be restored on 3rd. of Mar.

1st.Mar.09. (Sun.) 18oohrs.

It is raining now, it stop me from going for an evening walk. Luckily I went for the morning walk at the Metropolitan Park this morning. Because it is Sunday today I would like to go for evening walk at Titiwangsa with my wife as well. We went for a meal of mee at the Thong Shin road corner coffee shop then we visited the Tun Abdul Razak memorial at the Lake Garden. Strangely enough there was an absence of visitors. We came home at about two pm. Then u know what lah?!

4th.Mar.09. (Wed.) 0540hrs.

The internet connection is good this morning. Yesterday, stayed at home and went for an evening walk in the drizril after a heavy storm and heavy down pour. At 6am Alice from Malacca will be up and I will be driving her to the "heart institute" for her heart examination.

5th.Mar.09. (Thu.) 0835hrs.

Yesterday, took the rapid bus to Taman Desa and then changed bus to Melawati and back, all these for RM l. I had obtained the Senior citisen pass for half price. Went for a evening walk as weel, so it was dead tired. Sound sleep and got up fresh. Up to this point of time, nor sure what to do for the day. The morning is cool and bright. It is a pefect morning but of course it will get hotter and hotter.

8th.Mar.09. (Sun.) 0650hrs.

Friday, spent the whole day in Subang Jaya at Carefour to get my and EM's old cars' third party insurance in order to claim the RM625.00 for the petrol subsidy. (The story of petwol subsidy is very long to describe here. I took the whole day because I went by bus and at the same time it was Friday. The muslims went for mosque from 1230hrs to 1430hrs. I was not aware of that and it happens that Takaful is a bumiputra company. Saturday, rested at home and went for evening walk after a heavy shower. It rains every evening pratically. Went to bed early at about 2230hrs and awoke at 0400hrs this morning. Now is 1830hrs and it is fine, we are preparing to go to Lake Titiwangsa for an evening walk. Aik Siong skyped me this afternoon and chatted a bit and we tounched on the subject of travelling in buses, in this case in Rapid bus. I told him about the small small matters encounted in the travelling and he asked me put it in writing for the fun of it. Well, I think it is a good idea and so I will jot it down in writing. Also this afternoon the big tree behind our house next to the mamak stall was fell to make way for the forthcoming traffic flow after the flyover to the camp and the road leading to the LRT parking nearby.

9th.Mar.09. (Mon.) 1230hrs.

It is raining now and today is Mohammed's birthday, therefor it is a holiday. It is very quiet in the Tmn. Easter. There is no movement of vehicles and any other activities. Could not go for a an evening walk due to raining.

10th.Mar.09. (Tue.) 0745hs.

The head line is: Obama adm. protests 'harassment' by Chinese vessels. It does not matter whether it is a white american or black american. The white president of usa sent spy plane to snoop on China when he became the president and now the black american president sent ship to seek trouble with the Chinese. This report must be read in conjunction with the recent Japanese naval activities in the disputed island in the Chinese territorial water.(for the moment I gorgot the name of the island.) The jap is trying to stir up trouble with the help of their masters with the excuse of the island. In addition the american is mentioning of the Spratly islands in the South China Sea so u can see that the trouble this time is about sea power superiority since the Chinese is active in their build-up of the sea power. At 1750hrs read the reply from China on the protest. Confirmed they are there purposely to creat trouble. They just cannot live without trouble. They always talk about international laws, etc.etc.. Went for a ride in the Rapid bus from 4th. mile Ipoh Road to Damasara area near the Chee Mui's place. There was no spectacular happenings except the noise from the TV screens and people talking aloud.

11th.Mar.09. (Wed.) 1810hrs.

Actually it is time for me to go for evening walk but the rain makes it impossible. According to an article appeared in the Star newspaper yesterday it said that the Fraser Hill authority is allocated with 20 million Ringgets to upgragde the tourism facilities up there. So we can expect that more holiday makers will be going up there. Stayed at home the whole day. No bus ride today.

12th.Mar.09. (Thu.) 1915hrs.

The internet connection is very good. The US is feeling the water with China by sending survey ship to survey the sea aroung the Hainan island just on the same spot as the spy-plane incident happened and passing bill on calling China to talk with Dalai Lama on the Tibet issue. Phillipine stake claims on the Sprateley Islands which China said that is theirs. The flashing points are all lined up to make trouble for the people in this region. No evening walk this evening because I had walked enough in the city this afternoon.

13th.Mar.09. (Fri.) 1845hrs.

It rained the whole morning of the day, so no activity. At 16oohrs took mom to see her friend in the Selayang Hospital. She had a operation yesterday on her stomach to remove a small cancerous mole in some part of the stomach. Came back at 1700hrs to be ready for her bas sekolah trip at about 1800hrs. And now am serfing the net for news. The election 'sebok' had settled down in US and potential troubles are beginning to sprout up bit by bit, particularly in Asia. So let us see what a black president of USA will do for the world.
