Revision as of 04:24, 5 November 2011 by Kohkl88 (Talk | 2011 June 24 13th.Jul.11. (Wed.) 2305hrs. Went to TNB hq. at Melawati to settle the electricity deposit for the JMB P4D1. Stayed home until time for the evening walk. Actually went to the Popular Book Store to just look see for any new things happening or not. 15th.Jul.11. (Fri.) 2035hrs. Went to University Hospital for eye check. It is found that both eyes are very ok, the next check will be six months from today. Heavy rain prevented me for my evening walk, otherwise the day was just as normal. 17th.Jul.11. (Sun.) 2045hrs. Just came back from FH after spending a night there. The surounding is very well maintained now since taken over by the JMB. Due to lack of funds the buildings need facelift badly and urgently. 20th.Jul.ll. (Wed.) 1050hrs. Just wonder who was the first guy who used the word 'golden age' for the old people. How can it be golden age while the old people have to see the doctors so frequently for so many kinds of illness. In this month alone I have been to UH for my eyes, the dentist and yesterday to the clinic for the result of the blood test. Luckily there is not much of a big problem. Is that what is 'golden age'. It must be kidding?! 23rd.Jul.ll. (Sat.) 2130hrs. The good news is Lai Changxing the greatest Chinese smuggler is on his way home after escaping arrest for 12yrs by living in Canada. The bombing and shooting in Norway will wake up the Norvegians I hope otherwise they are very complacent and creat mischief to others from time to time. 25th.Jul.ll. (Mon.) 1905hrs. Went to Midvalley this morning by train. Bought some imported biscuits from Mark and Spancer. Went to MPH to look at the latest issue of the Chinese English and English Chinese dictionary. Didn't buy any. I already have a smaller version one. I am glad that Col. Gadaffi is still in Lybia, let the Nato nations that take part in the bombing of Lybia bomb themselves into bankcrupcy. Just don't let them win easily. 28th.Jul.ll. (Fri.) 0013hrs. Yesterday stayed at home except going for the evening walk. Watched the CNTV and surfed the net. Glad to know that the Chinese submesible ship can reach the dept of 5188m. The Chinese is also trying to outfit a aircraft carrier for training. It is better to be late than never. The KMT gov. in Taiwan is waiting for their foreign uncle to up-grade their warplanes as it has always been. lst.Jul.11. (Mon) 0430hrs. I am waiting anxiously to see what will be the US debt ceiling voting result. 2nd.Jul.11. (Tue.) 2315hrs. As expected the result of the debt-ceiling drama is always ended undramatically as any other issues. All that debates and arguments are for show only. More debts will be more troubles waiting ahead. Once it is in debt it is difficult to be solvent again. 6th.Jul.11. (Sat.) 2115hrs. Actually, there seems to be nothing worthy to write about. Life have been going on normally. The morning exercise and the evening walk is never missed. 10th.Jul.11. (Wed.) 1255hrs. Now that the flame is burning in their own backyard, so let us see how they handle the situation. Do you remember the torch grabbing for the Beijing Olympic, how gleeful they were? 11th.Jul.11. (Thu.) 2250hrs. The BBC is really great, with the riot in its own country it still has the time to worry about famous Chinese artist Mr. Ai Wei Wei with the title "Artist Ai 'felt close to death.' There are a lot of articles about their own social problems. So mind your problems before you laugh at other people. 20th.Aug.ll. (Sat) Wow! had been lasy for nine days but actually there is nothing fresh to write about. The whole world is bore. The war in Lybia is still going on, the most interesting thing is that they are not shooting at the human enemy but to the thin air. I presume that they don't kill but to make a lot of noise to frighten the enemy. They dressed in singlet and don't carry any ration or ammo. They don't take aim but just shoot blankly into the opposit side. You don't see any man or soldier being killed. The news from the foreign news agency is comical. Kol. Gaddafi's sons had been killed so many times but still appearing. The NATO has got another month to drop their bombs then it will depend whether they still can afford to carry on or not. 24th.Aug.11. (Wed.) 1240hrs. Does it matter who win, afterall the people who died were Libyans and the survivours will have to work to pay for the bombs and ammo given to win the hulaha - the Libyans. The real winners are the people who hid behind the screen. Pity isn't it? 6th.Sep.ll. (Tue.) 1005hrs. Went to Zhangjianjie (central part of China) for an eight days tour, from 28th. Aug. to 4th. Sep.. In between visited MZT's former house, his Stone Statue in Shaoshan village. I took a round walk and paid a three bows respect to the statute. The main attraction is the rocky formations in the park. Both of us climbed the famour 999 steps to reach the heaveny stone gate. The steps are just like the normal staircase steps. Quite a number of people who are younger than we are were scared to do it. From Changsha city to Zhangjiajie where the rocky park is is about three hundred over miles apart, along the way I was gled to see the new brick houses, the padi field was covered with golden ripe padi and various greenery. The highway is smooth and the whole length of the road is covered with trees and well-kept shrubs in the middle of the roads. In my heart I can feel the dynamism of China. Talk of Changsha city, it has a special meaning to me because it was mentioned in the book 'Defeat into Victory' by Field-Marshal Viscount Slim that the only victory for China from the long Sino-Japanese war during the WWll was in the battle of Changsha city. Of course this is only his own opinion. He was the commander of the allied forces in Burma at that time. 2011/09/10 Good writing. Interesting to hear your thinking. Aik-Siong llth.Sep.ll (Sun.) 1030hrs. Today is a very good day, it is cloudy and so it is not hot. It rains for a while in the evening but it did not prevent me from my evening walk at the Metropolitan park. Indeed it is a very good Sep.ll. It should be more of the Sep.ll days. 15th.Sep.11. (Thu.) 2205hrs. It is foolish to believe that the Libyans are free now, the real victors are the bombs and ammunitions suppliers. They are the people who will have the total free hands to set the stage for next episodes of events. episodes of events to come. 20th.Sep.ll. (Tue.) 2240hrs. The weather is kinder now, it is not so hot and humid. The North-East monsoon is already here. It rains practically everyday, either in the evening or morning. Well, life is normal for me. Knowing a lot of the world affairs from the internet. The West is in deep trouble with the national debts. They had been showing off with their luxurious lifestyle to the world with the borrowed money and now it is hard for them to pay back the debts. 22nd.Sep.ll. (Thu.) 2135hrs. The weather is splendid. It is cloudy and cool. Poor Chinese KMT in Taiwan, they are still at their old ways. They are jubilant at being able to buy arms from their old time uncle to kill their own kind. They even seek approval for their presidential election. Just wonder since when the Chinese had been so disgraceful. 27th.Sep.ll. (Wed.) 1120hrs. The morning is cool and bright. Last night was a dog-barking free night because the three young strays were taken away by the Bandaraya dog catchers. In Malaysia it is a trend that most of the Chinese households will keep one dog or may be more and that because some dogs are kept behind the fence and some are free to roam around so there will be a lot of barking going on. In the evening the dogs that are kept behind fences make speicial noises and barkings. I am a Chinese but I do not like to keep dogs because I do not want spending time to care of them. I want to spend time on my own. Strangely enough I did not see any dogs running around in the streets in China. Another interesting thing is I did not see any birds flying in the sky or on the trees even in the wooded area. I have noticed this on my many trips that I have been to China. I am sure you might have guessed the answer in my mind. 29th.Sep.11. (Thu.) 2333hrs. In the morning part went to attend the funeral of a member of Gao Assn. He died of kidney failure at age of 56. Watched the whole process of the space lab Tiangong l launch in CNTV from 2100hrs to about 2140hrs when it was announced that it is successful. Switched to BBC just to confirm how fast is the BBC, true enough it was there in its web site with a sourish head line "Tiangong-l launch betrays China's earthly ambitions". I do not really understand what the white men try to mean. But not a word is mentioned in the ll pm world news in MTV l in Malaysia. 10th.Nov.ll. (Thu.) 0920hrs. The day is fine. Went to JMB office for a while and went for the evening walk. Get ready to go to S,pore early in the morning by bus to attend the S'pore GAO association's 63th. anniversary celebration dinner. We have 10 members to attend. The S'pore GAO association was established in l948 before the separation and therefore it was the only association to represent the GAO clansmen in the then Malaya. My father was a member of the association. It is called Koh association because GAO is pronounced in Hokkien dialect as Koh. I remember my father was issued with a membership certificate and it was burnt when he passed away because it is believed that whatever belongs to him must be burnt to follow him. When I am there I will try to trace as to whether any record to this effect is still being held by the assn.. 14th.Nov.ll. (Mon.) 2140hrs. The 60th. celebration dinner was great, there were plenty of singing and the women section presented lovly dances. They must have put in a lot of hard work. Mum and EM spent the whole Sat. on shopping while I roam around the see more of the Singapore. Spent the Sunday morning to look for Koh assn. premise and finally found it. Spent about half an hour there taking some pictures and found there is no record of my father's membership. Went round the waterfront and took 4.30pm bus home. Worthy of note was Heng Jin donated S$10,000 to the S'pore Koh assn. that night. The joke was he asked me to announce it to the audience, instead I announced it as one hunder dollars so it was put right immediately by their president. 21st.Nov.11. (Mon.) 1950hrs. This evening is special, it is not raining. Went for morning walk because scared that it may rain in the evening. Went to town for a walk about to pass time. 22nd.Nov.ll. (Tue.) 2055hrs. Went to Batu Cave with mum, maid and Lip Wern and spent about three hours there and went to Kepong for roast-duck lunch. He wanted to go there to shoot at the monkeys with the toy gun. But then when we were he took pity on the monkeys and did not shoot them at all instead he tried to scare the pigeons and shot at them playfully. After lunch his mother came to take him home. By the way we took the train to Batu Cave and it was quite an enjoyable afternoon. It rained in the evening but I went to the Tmn. Rainbow for my evening excise for about thirty five mins. when the rain stopped at about seven. 24th.Nov.11. (Thu.) 2315hrs. Today is a fine day, there was no rain at all. Life is quiet for all of us. We went to have an Indian curry lunch at the Tmn Mastiara and went for an evening walk as usual. Mum is getting ready to go to Hatnyai with the Han gang because they feel that they should all get together once in a while. They will start going at 6.30 tomorrow morning and return on Sunday night. 28th.Nov.ll. (Mon.) 1910hrs. I have been living single life for the past three days while mum and maid went to Hatnya in Thailand. The rain is stopping me from going for an evening walk. Yesterday evening was the same, the monsoon rain is in its full force now. In the morning part went to Putrajaya by bus and took the innercity bus to go round the city for fifty sens only. The bus is going round the town to serve the residents to move place to place within the town. The town is well planned and it is kept very clean and tidy. Sorry I am still nor sure whether Putrajaya is a city or town. lst.Dec.ll. (Thu.) 2245hrs. Normal day wirhout any worthwhile event to write about. 4th.Dec.11. (Sun.) 0530hrs. 2.12.ll. (Fri.) Went to Machap to attend my grandpa's great grand son's wedding dinner. It was a grand dinner and we drove back after the dinner at 10pm and reach KL at 2am. My grandpa's son grew up with me but the rest of the family was not known to me until very lately. Last night that was 3.12.ll, went to attend Loke assn. 39th. anniversary. 7th.Dec.ll. (Wed.) 2240hrs. It rains daily but it does not cause big problems. Life goes on as usual. Tomorrow night we will be attending another assn. dinner to be held in a Chinese school hall at Sentul. I think this will be the last assn. dinner for 2011. 9th.De.ll. (Fri.) 1625hrs. No rain up to this point of time, it may suddenly start thundering and pour with rain. Went to JPJ with mum this morning and to the management office for a while. Last night attended the "The Federation of Malaysia Chinese Surname Associations" lst. annual aniversary dinner. It is the mother of all the surname associations in this country. I think this is a good idea so that we have a leader to co-ordinate and initiate all the conducive activities. 12th.Dec.ll. (Mon.) 2145hrs. Fine day. Read newspapers and surfed the net. Knew a lot of the world affairs. The EU seems to have agreed on the solutions to solve their economic problems except to see the end results to come. Iran seems to have the technical know-how to capture the pilotless plance from their enemy. I hope they really have it so that the super power can be checked for their wrecklessness. 15th.Dec.ll. (Thu.) 1900hrs. It is raining now so cannot go for a walk. Yesterday evening also rained but it stopped at about this time, it made my shoes wet when I insisted in walking. According to the news report it flooded the Bt. Bintang and Cheras area. So far the monsoon rain has not done a lot of damage in the country. 18th.Dec.11. (Sun.) 1700hrs. Cloudy day but without rain. Non-eventful Friday and Saturday except that we took Mei Wah and her husband to a Chineses restaurant dinner in Jinjang. We fetched them from EM's house and sent them back by train from our Batu Kentonman station after the dinner at 2244hrs because the train go straight from here to Subang Jaya station. They rang up to say that they have arrived at about 0hrs. 24th.Dec.11. (Sat.) 1815hrs. It had been peaceful and quiet for the past 5 days. Nothing special to write about. It has been cloudy but fine day. No evening walk for this evening because we are waitting for Lip Wern to come to celebrate his birthday as well as the X'mas. Strangely enough we don't hear any X'mas songs and music at all. Not like before we could feel X'mas is coming with the X'mas songs and hymn in the air. It is like the CNY without the firecrackers. 31st.Dec.ll. (Sat.) 0500hrs. Xmas had come and gone. As nomal we did nothing special except the usual turkey dinner with the family members only on Thursday night (29th.Dec.ll.). 3rd.Jan.12. (Tue.) 2135hrs. Went up to Fraser's Hill on lst.Jan.12. for two nights. The place is well maintained by the JMB except that the whole compleks should be completely re-white washed otherwise it looks terrible. It is not done because the unit owners are not paying their dues. Hope that with the present JMB's conserted effort to collect the dues from the unit owners, the resort will be put to its proper conditions. 8th.Jan.12 (Sun.) 2240hrs. It had not rained for about two weeks so the weather is very stuffy and hot. It is not very comfortable for our daily life. Life had been pretty normal for the last five days. 14th.Jan.12. (Sat.) 1045hrs. It is a lovely morning. It is fine, the sun is not too hot and the air is cool. Got up at six in the morning and went to the Tmn Rainbow's small park for exercise because I missed the evening walk yesterday due to raining. Surfed the net and learnt that the Euro crisis is appearing again and the situation between Iran and the West is very quiet. I think this is so-called the lull before the storm. 27th.Jan.12. (Fri.) 2300hrs. Luckily, went to Tmn. Rainbow for the morning exercise because it rained in the evening so it prevented me from going my evening walk. As I drove out of the gate a police patrol car was at the back of me. It signaled me to stop. I stopped and asked why, was told that my road tax has expired. True enough I had been driving without insurance and road tax since Nov. 20ll. I asked them to let me off for RM50 otherwise I will have to pay RM600.00 fine. So, that is how it goes, both of us benefitted. The question is how do they know that my road taxed had expired as they were driving behind me. That is the magic. However I have no bone to grind. Stayed home for the rest of the day surfing the net and reading the newspapers. 29th.Jan.12. (Sun.) 0250hrs. Actually I wanted to write before I went to bed last night but the internet failed to function. Luckily I went for a long morning walk yesterday morning because it rained heavily in the evening. Peter and EM came at about 1130hrs and Peter gave me and PP a RM1,000 ang pow each. EM had given the ang pows earlier. I went to lunch at the batu tiga coffee shop because mum had gone for lunch with her friends. Napped and stayed at home for the rest of the evening due to the raining. 30th.Jan.12. (Mon.) 2200hrs. Went to renew the insurance and road tax and spent the rest of the morning roaming the city. The city is still half asleep not until day after tomorrow after the ninth day of the lunar calendar. Beside that life is as normal. I went to the city by bus and returned by train. 31st.Jan.12. (Tue.) 2325hrs. Today is the nineth day of the Chinese New Year and it is the Hokkian people's new year day. Last night was their new year eve and therefore they let off a lot of firecrackers to welcome the big day. The noise continues right up to 2am. It rained heavily from 5am right up to about 6.30am. So the whole day was cloudy and the air was quite cool. Went to the JMB office to see if there is anything for me to do. That wraps up my day. lst.Feb.12. 2225hrs. 1st. of Feb. is the Wilayah Day and therefore it is a holiday. Dare not venture out of the area where we live because the city will be crowded with the foreign workers. Went to Batu Cave by train for my evening exercise by climbing the 272 steps up and down. It is crowded there because they are preparing for the Thaipusum festival on the 6th. of this month. They are putting up the tents, installing the lamp posts etc.etc.. Some early whoshippers are doing their praying before the actual date in order to avoid the maddening crowd. 2nd.Feb.12. (Thu.) 2110hrs. Tried on the sky-walk around the Jln. Perak area connecting various high rise buildings and ending up at the Pavilian complex and the convention hall. That area is newly built up area in the golden triangle. The sky-walk is like a big container-like structure built above the ground with air-con for pedestrians to walk with comfort. The rain stopped me for about half an hour to reach the KL railway station to board the train. After boarding the train it moved slowly with several stops on the way and when it reached the Sentul station the passengers were told to come down to wait for another train to take them to Batu Cave without any explaination. The waiting took about forty five minutes when the train came from Batu Cave to take us to Batu Cave. The reason was the train was running on one track because there was some repare work being carried out on the other line. By the time I reached home it was alredy four forty five. I was really dead tired. Had a bath, had a cup of Chinese tea then watched my favorite CCTV4 programme from 5 to 6pm and had a 45mins nap and had the dinner and back to normal again. 4th.Feb.12. (Sat.) 2130hrs. I do not know why I was so tired last. I was so sleepy that I went to bed at about 9.30pm. Slept well for the night and got up 6am. Went to the Tmn. Rainbow small park for exercise at about 7am for about one hour. I don't like the park there because it is small and the people there are all regulars so u keep on seeing them and the next thing is the barking dogs. It is really anonying, since the residents there are more well off so they buy bigger dogs so that they bark louder. It is status symbol that kind of thing. Went to the JMB office to make out a cheque for the electricity bill and after that went to Mamak coffee shop for a tea tarek and a roti chanai for lunch. As for the rest of the day just stayed home. Since today is Saturday so life is at its laziest point. 5th.Feb.12. Sun. 2330hrs. The biggest event of today is the GAO association CNY celebration. EM and I attended it without mum as she had other programme with her group of friends. I donated RM100, EM donated RM80.00 and Heng Jin asked me to donate RM200.00 for him while he is away in S'pore. There was quite a big crowd. The programme started from lpm until 3pm. Of course ang pow for the children is a must and the lucky draws and quessing games for the attendents were also arranged. The food were fried mee, fried meehoom, chicken curry and one or two other tib bits plus an assortment of fruits of course with the mandarine oranges. The party went on quite happily with everybody smiling away till the end. The next big event was we went round the lake at the Taman Metropolitan for our evening walk. It took us a solid one hour walk. 7th.Feb.12. (Tue.) 2125hrs. How nice? yesterday was Prophet Mohd's birthday, it was a holiday. Stayed home until in the evening went to Lake Garden for evening walk and had a mamak fried mee and mutton matabab for dinner. The maid was taken away by EM to help her in preparation of the NYC party in her house. Today is Thaipusum day and it is a holiday too. Went to EM's house for lunch on the left over of the last night party. After lunch EM and mum went for their own programme while I went for a foot massage. I was very tired and had a nap for about one hour. No evening exercise. 9th.Feb.12. (Thu.) 0705hrs.(Note: this event is for 8th.Feb.12) It was very crowded in the govt. clinic at the Kg. Batu, it took me three hours to see the doctor for my normal check up. The reason was due to the holiday on Wed. The result of the check-up was normal. The next check-up will be in four months time. 10th.Feb.12. (Fri.) 2330hrs. Yesterday, that was Thursday, morning went to JMB office to check on the clerk's performance. Received a complaint from one of the unit owners that a water tank from the roof top is over flowing. The problem was fixed by 6pm. This morning went to see Heng Jin and also to collect the RM200.00 that I paid for him for the CNY do held by the GAO assn. last Sunday as he was away from KL on that day. Reached home is already 2pm and what followed was a daily rutine for me.)
(Start Here Pa. 18th.Apr.12. (Wed.) 2230hrs. Went to town by bus to survey the Chinese writing brush and papers to practise writing the grandchildren's Chinese names. I plan to write their Chinese names on drawing papers myself to give them as souvenir when they come in May. Otherwise they will never know their names in Chinese. What the effect will ultimate imprint unto them is left to be seen. 20th.Apr.12. (Fri.) 2200hrs. Let me continue with the Colonel's story. Arrived home after a week's holiday in the East Coast, as our car stopped at the gate I saw him curled up sound asleep in the porch. I called his name softly but there was no response, so I called his name lounder, he suddenly lift up his head to listen and turned his head to look at the direction where the sound came from and lo he saw me standing there and instantly ran to me and put his fore legs on me with his tail waging vigourously as if he was embracing me and making the gesture of kissing my body. Obviously he was very very happy to see again. How he must have felt during my absence I could not fathom. It touched me deeply and till today I still can reflect on the scene vividly. 22nd.Apr.12. (Sun.) 1945hrs. A sunny and hot Sunday. At 1200hrs the swearing-in ceremony for the Gao assn. was held in a restaurant near the assn. building. The past presidents of the assn. were invited to witness the ceremony. Heng Jin, his wife and son Peng Guan were present. Heng Jin donated RM10,000 to the assn. Actually we plan to give him a 81th. birthday party but he turned it down by saying that he never celebrate his birthday, so he think that it is not necessary to have one for the 81th. birthday as well. In response to the good gesture he donated the money. The whole process of the swearing-in ceremony went off smoothly and everyone present was happy. It cost the assn. nearly RM1,500. After the lunch we adjourned to the assn. to hold the first committee members meeting for the new set of committee members. We set out the new tasks to be carried out for 2012. We decided to have our annual lunch to solicit funds on 9th. of November 2012. The meeting ended at 5pm. 25th.APr.12. (Wed.) 2135hrs. Have been busy preparing the statements of account for second quarter of 2012 for P4D1. Other than that there was nothing worthwhile to note down. The problem we have is the large amount of debts. Yet the relevant authority is not coming out strongly to help to collect the amount due. Well, there is no use of complaining. We just slog on from day to day to the best of our ability. 2nd.May.12. (Wed.) 1435hrs. Went for a 3 days 2 nithts tour of S'pore and Batam island of Indonesia from 27th. - 30th. of Apr. There was nothing great to see in Batam island really. Except the high rise hotels the rest of the town is just like the Malaysian kampongs. There is no luxuriou restaurants to cater for either Europeon or Chinese foods to talk about. There is no sunny and sandy beaches. So I just wonder what people go there for. For us we just want to satisfied our curiosity since there is a lot of reports of happenings on the island in the press. We passed a night in a cheap hotel called 81 hotel in S'pore The air-con. is OK, the bed is comfortable but the tv is with few channels and there is no place to put your soiled clothes and there is no hook or rack to hang you wet towel. The next morning while waiting for the time to board the bus for home, of course I bought a copy of Chinese and English newspaper each to read and strangly enough I found that they were so boring and dry. In the past I used to enjoy reading the S'pore newspapers bothe in Chinese and English. Now I think since I can get the news and knowledge from the direct sources from the internet, so what we can read from the newspapers seem to be out of date already. Yesterday was Labour Day, of course it was a holiday. Went to see the Chinese Navy training ship 'Chenghe" at South Port Port Klang. We were just allowed to go round the deck one complete round of the ship. It took us a great pain to have the opportunity to see it because the crowd was tremendous. I think this is an indication to the fact that the Chinese are proud of their ancestors' land although it is quite a small ship compared to the ones that are owned by the super-power, but the ray of hope is in the horizon that the day will come that the Chinese Navy will be as strong as that of other powers. 3nd.May.12. (Thu.) 1635hrs. I pity the blind Chinese dissident Chen Guancheng that he failed to relise that he is valueless for the Western propoganda that is why they did not send a special plane to take him and his family away quickly. 4th.May.12. (Fri.) 2325hrs. The weather is very very hot today. No rain. Let me tell you another dag's story. This time is my grandpa's black dog. His name is 'itam' in Malay. The time was when I was about seven and eight years old. I still can visualise him curling on the floor mat in the centre of the main door of my grandpa's house. He was a quiet dog he did not simply bark for nothing. The next thing I remember about him in particular is that he used to sit in waiting when my auntie poured the biscuits into a big biscuit tin brought back from Melaka Town by my grandpa because she would give him two pieces after completing the job. He would be happy to eat them. The biscuit was from the left over bread cut into blocks and put into oven again to bake them dry. My grandpa used to buy them from a bakery in Melaka. We ate them with black coffee for breadfast. 6th.May.12. (Sun.) 1700hrs. This part of KL is quiet, I don't know other part of KL is peaceful or not. Lately due to the gen. election is eminent so there is a lot of demonstrations going on. Now that the mother of human rights and democracy had gone home, so there should not be any more of the blind dissident's drama going on. The staging of the drama was very well planned. They must have hoped that thousand and thousand of supporters of the blind man would go to the Thiananmen Square. They spared no efforts to creat trouble for other people. 10th.May.12. (Thu.) 2300hrs. It took me three hours to go by train to Subang Jaya to bring back the maid from EM place by train as well. It will take as long if I use my car because of the jam etc. By train it cost only RM2.30 for the maid while as a senior citizen I got a free ride for three months otherwise it cost half ware for me. In the evening there was a big thunder storm raging on for about two hours. So there was no evening walk. 12th.May.12. (Sat.) 0515hrs. Woken up by the barks of the dogs at 4am and just couldn't fall asleep again. One of the annoying things of living with the Chinese neighbourhood is the barking dogs. Last time the noises made by the Chinese population was their loud talkings, loud radio music, car honkings etc.etc. When you go for morning walk you can hear them clapping their hands while walking. To me it is very annoying. I like to walk by myself quietly just to stop talking because people have been talking too much. All the troubles either big or small are caused by talkings. Comparatively the Chinese are more civilised now. 13th.May.12. (Sun.) 0435hrs. This morning the dog-barking is less. it may be due to the cooler weather. Yesterday we spent the whole morning in the PUSPACOM. This time the PUSPACOM is totally reorganised and it had really got rid of the corruption activity like last time. We will see how long it will last. We gave a farewel dinner to the maid who is going home after five years with us. We invited uncle Loon and wife, Mai Chin and her fatty daughter with her boy friend and the new maid. She will be leaving at llam with the Air Asia. 13th.May.12/ (Sun.) 2325hrs. Went to SS's house with the maid at about 10am. Proceeded to the LCCT at about 1100hrs. After checking in they bid farewell to her wihtout me. We started our journey home at about 2pm and stopped at Taipan USJ for some food as we had missed our lunch. Sent EM to SS's house to pick up her car and maid. By the time we arrived home it was already about 4.30pm. Had a nap for one hour. Thinking of going for a walk at the Metropolitan garden but the darkening sky prevented me for that. It was already about 6.30pm.,so gave up the idea of the evening walk. As we were preparing to go out for our dinner uncle Loon called and asked us whether we are happy to go to his house for dinner as he had boiled chicken(pak cham kai) and chickem soup for dinner. So we ended up having dinner in his house. It was a delicious dinner. 16th.May.12. (Wed.) 2225hrs. There is nothing to write about my psesonal life. It had been non eventful for the last three days. The weather is extremely hot and uncomfortable. The US $2b loss by the JP Morgan is quite a news. That is what it is said in the Malay proverb that "tupai pandai pandai l0mgpat, satu hari jatoh juga". That is good enough for time being. 18th.May.12. (Fri.) 1755hrs. Yesterday, went to top up my prepaid card for travelling in the Rapid transport system vehicles like Buses, LRT etc. at the Klang Bus Station LRT station. The Klang Bus station is being torn down to make way for the MRT station. Few other buildings will be involved and this has raised protest from the property ownners in the Sultan Street claiming that it is a historical heritage and it should be preserved as it is. I really don't know what is the real reason for it. I thought the MRT station will bring prosperity to the area. After seeing a lot of modern cities, KL is really a rundown city. 19th.May.12. (Sat.) 0000hrs. Went to PUSPACOM again, this time passed the test. So we can relax for another six months. Congratulations to the blind Chinese activist and his family members, they can now enjoy eating hamburgers in the country of its origin. They must be very happy now. Another thing that linger in my mind that I just cannot put it away without sayng something about it that is the govt. of KMT Taiwan is buying 66 pieces of the F16 for now and other weaponry to follow soon. KMT Taiwan is hailed as presenting the Free and Democractic China and it has to depend on buying arms to protect its while the mainland China is developing its own weaponry, that is why they have been blamed for not transparant and as a threat etc. So as a Chinese whick China you prefer? 22nd.May.12. (Tue.) 2220hrs. Sunday, went to Jln Pasar to see the sunday market and the Pudu big marke because we had not been there for three years. Monday, took Sung Fong to the veteran office at the Jln. Tun Dr. Ismail to see what he can get from the dept. since he left the service without pension. The govt is giving RM 3,ooo to the ex-home guards, Junior Liason Officers, and AC's and other servicemen who serve during the Emergency from 1948-1964. The answer is there is nothing for him since he left the armed forces much later when the emergency was over. However they are trying to persude the govt. to give this bunch of ex-servicemen some aid. To-night saw the footage from the TV that those potesters in the demonstration against the 20 summit held in Chicago is a bunch of timid, pale and frial crowd. I doubt there is anybody would care to listen to them. 24th.May.12. (Thu.) 1630hrs. Wed. Went to the Public Bank headquarter at Jln. Raja Chulan to change the new names of signatory for the Koh's assn. cheques since the President and Treasurer of the assn. have changed after the 1912 AGM. This morning went to JPJ to renew mom's driving licence. 27th.May.12 (Sun.) 1025hrs. Life have been very quiet for the last few days. This morning went to the Metropolitan garden for a morning exercise for about 45 minutes. Went to Tmn. Kolican for breakfast. As I surf the net everyday, it dawns to me that I am very fortunate to be able to read and write Chinese. I can communicate with my Chinese ancestors through their writings and carving or whatever they left behind to tell us of their experiences etc., and to listen to their stories in their own language. Through the CNTV I have learnt that the Chinese had not been totally sleeping in the last five thousand years of their history. They have the brain and a pair of good hands with which they can produce beautiful things. At this point of time the only thing the Chinese should do is to produce the war weaponries as good as if not better than the West and their have got.) ← Older revision | 2011 June 24 13th.Jul.11. Reached home is already 2pm and what followed was a daily rutine for me. 12th.Feb.12. (Sun.) 2220hrs. Yesterday (Sat.) went to JMB office to clear a bit of the paper works like getting ready the lst. qtr. statements and getting the cheque to pay up the TNB bill etc., in the marning part as for the afternoon it is the normal routine. Today is Sunday, stayed at home for the whole day except the evening walk. Tried to got to the Kepong lake garden for the evening walk but the traffic was too heavy so we turned back to our Metropolitan garden. So another week is gone. 15th.Feb.12. (Wed.) 2220hrs. Monday, busy with the JMB office for the morning part. Tuesday, went to town at 1044hrs train for a short break after remaining in the Ipoh Road for so many days. Asked the roof repair man to come to look at the roof leak at the P4D1 but he is unable to come due to his eyes problem, will come on Friday. Went to a coleague's house to discuss about the statement/ invoice of the lst.qtr for 2012. That had taken up the whole morning. 19th.Feb.12. (Sun.) 2215hrs. It had been quite busy for the last few days for the JMB affairs. AGM for 2012 was held on Sat. 18th. Feb. The turn-out was very poor. Today Sunday GAO association held its committee members meeting befor the AGM for 2012 at 2pm at the association premise to prepare for the new set of committee members for the next two years. 23rd.Feb.12. (Thu.) 2145hrs. Nothing special happening in the last three days. Had been quite busy running between home and the JMB office because the clerk had gone to see the doctor in the general hospital and getting the roof repairer to mend the leak in the block etc. This morning I went to the govt. clinik to see the doctor for my urine test. Two weeks ago when seeing the doctor for the routine check-up I told the doc. that the colour of my urine is yellowish, so he sent me for a urine test and it was found that there is a small trace of blood in it, so he told me to come again in two weeks time for another test. Unfortunately it was found it conatin more blood in it in today's test, so he is sending me to Selayang hospital for a X-ray on the 27th. Feb.. 26th.Feb.12. (Sun.) 0815hrs. Loving Sunday morning. It is quiet and peaceful. It seems that the dog-barking is kept to its minimum otherwise the first thing one hears is the barkings of the dogs. Yesterday evening went to the KL Sentul by train and explore the surroungding area just to familiary what is going on there. The area is developing tremendously. It is definitely going to be another mear business centre of the KL city. Due to the composition of the populations there I think it is really not an intelligent place to live in. 28th.Feb.12. (Tue.) 0920hrs. Just rang up the Selayang Hospital X ray department to find out whether the X ray film taken yesterday is ready for collection or not. The answer is that the printing machine is having some problem so ask me to phone again in the afternoon. The two days of medication and controlled diet (without solid food) before the X ray made me quite weak. Eatings after the X ray made me fresh as before again. Hope that there will be no big problem. 1st.Mar.12. (Thu.) 0435hrs. Went to Seleyang Hospital to collect the X ray film and will see the doctor today. It was a rainny day yesterday. In spite of the rain I still went for my evening walk under the shops verenda up to the Batu Village KTM station and took the train back. Luckily found an umbrella in the station when I alighted the train, that saved me from being drenched form the Batu Kentonmen station to the house. lst..Mar.12. (Thu.) 2310jrs. The doctor had seen the X-ray film and read the report and told me that there is nothing wrong with me. He asked me to continue monitoring my urine and see whether there is any change in its colour. So it is a relief for me. 5th.Mar.12. (Mon.) 2120hrs. 2nd.Mar. Fri. went to land office to pay the land tax for P4D1. Because I went by bus, so it took me the whole morning to finish the job. 3rd.Mar. Sat. Nothing special. 4th.Mar. Sun. Went to mom's friend's son tortoureous wedding dinner at Jinjang chinese restaurant. 5th.Mar. Mon. After the drinking and eating on the wedding dinner, it makes me feel uncomfortable for the whole day until after the evening walk. It is quite ok now. 8th.Mar.12. (Thu.) 0300hrs. 6th. had been busy with the JMB administrative matters like sending out demand letters to unit owners who owes the maintenance fees. 7th. went downtown to spend the morning part of the day. It rained contineously from about five right up to about 9pm. No evening walk. 10th.Mar.12. (Sat.) 1220hrs. Life had been peaceful and quiet for the past two days. The weather had been good as well. Its was cloudy. We are now ready to go to the airport tonight to catch the plane to China. The weather there seems to be very cold but we will make the best of it. We are ready. 18th.Mar.l2. (Sun.) 2235hrs. Returned from a week's field study of the Chinese History. I had studied it from the book when I was at school and now I went to the acturl places concerned. Qingdao was taken from the Ching dynasty by Germany at the end of 19 century and occupied it right up to the end of the first world war when Germany lost the war. The League of Nations past it to the Japanese when they split German's possession at the end of the war. The Chinese got it back after the end of the VWll and the KMT govt. let the American to use it as a naval base. It only returned back to the Chinese after the liberation of the enclave by the PLA. The second place I was most interested to visit is Qufu the Confucius's old home, Confucius Temple and Confucius Cemetery where only his decendants were allowed to be buried. I am fortunate enough to get a genuine white wine that is brewed according to the formula used by the Kong family. (Kong is the actual surname of Confucius.) We also climbed the Mt. Taisan which is said that only the worthy emperors of China were allowed to go up there to pray. Beside that we went to see part of the Yellow River that passes through the Jinan city. In a nutshell we enjoyed the tour very much inspite of the fact that our legs were swollen with so much of walking. 22nd.Mar.12. 2225hrs. Completely grounded by the flu for the last three days, only now I feel a bit better. Luckily I don't have to see the doctor but by taking two panadol three times a day. Hope that by tomorrow it will be completely OK. 24th.Mar.12. 1920hrs. Feeling much better today. This morning went to the Tmn. Rainbow small garden for some exercise. Other than that just stayed in. 26th.Mar.12. 2010hrs. Still feel weak after a week of flu followed by the cough. Yesterday went to the GAO assn. annual meeting plus the commitee members election. It went on smoothly as usual. One resolution is to give Heng Jin a birthday party in Sept. to commemorate his 81st. birthday as one of the founder members of the assn. I will head the organising committee for the preparation of the party. 29th.Mar.12. 2225hrs. Went to see the govt. doc. at the Kampong Batu for my coughyesterday. The cough really made me uncomfortable. So remained at home for the whole day. No evening walk no nothing. After taking the medicine, feel much better. Since the weather is fine so went to the taman for a small stroll 3rd.Apr.12. (Tue.) 1625hrs. 1st.Apr. (Sun.) Went to Melaka for Qingmin. The battery of Unser went flat in Machap new villege. At first we arrived at Jelutong but there was a heavy traffic jam, so we decided to go to Machap Baru to visit Ah Mok family. As we passed Machap Baru new villege we stopped at a coffee shop for a light breadfast. When we wanted to proceed to Ah Mok's house the vehicle failed to start. The local there helped us to get a machinic to replace the battery. We were really lucky it happened in the Chinese new villege otherwise you can just imagine. After visiting Ah Mokl's family it was over 10 o'clock and when we went to do the praying it was quite unbearable of the hot sun. We went our way hurriedly with my all the graves. I apologised for being late this year and we will start from KL earlier next year. This year we started off at 6.30am from EM's house while last year we arrived at Jelutong while it was still dark. 2nd.Apr.(Mon.) stayed at home after yesterday's hatic day. Through the CNTV I have learnt that the Chinese had not been totally sleeping in the last five thousand years of their history. They have the brain and a pair of good hands with which they can produce beautiful things. At this point of time the only thing the Chinese should do is to produce the war weaponries as good as if not better than the West and their have got.)

2010 April 24

Start here pa. 26th.Apr.10. (1430hrs.)

It is nice to have the diary page back again. At least I can just scribble some nonsense in it. It may be able to tell volume after fifty years from now.

4th.May.10. (Tue.) 1100hrs.

Don't know why the internet failed to connect. Called a chap to put it right and cost me RM 180.00. Secondly my diary 6 was filled to the brim. All these caused me stop writing for a few days. On the top of it I felt there was nothing worth writing about. This morning took the bus to town. Walked to Yow Chuan Plaza in Bukit Bintang from Kota Raya just to look around the computer stalls just to see if there is anything new. Well, sorry, there appeared to be nowmal stuff.

6th.May.10. (Wed.) 1755hrs.

For the last few days when the computer blackout, the thing I missed most was the CCTV News. I just didn't know how to pass my time without it. EM had just left the house after the piano lessons and I am getting ready for my evening walk at 1830rhs because the sun is still shining brightly at this moment. The weather is not comforting. It is so humid in spite of it rains practically every envening.

9th.May.10. (Sun.) 0835hrs.

It is a bright and if not for parking dogs it would be a quiet morning. The air is humid but not as humid as before. It is quite comfortable. I have nothing to write about' the world is kind to me. I surf the net knowing all the troubles in the world. I read the newpapers and learnt all the abull sit. I have enough of sleep and exercises so I feel very well and healthy. With all these, so what is the problem. By the way mum is in Hatnya. She will be back to-night.

Pa: Glad that you healthy and happy. Keep it up. What did the computer repair man do for you? Aik-Siong

10th.May.10. (Mon.) 2235hrs.

I am now in SS's house because we have to let LW to fall asleep before we come otherwise he will be too excited to go to sleep. We come here because mum has something to do with SS. By the way today is mum's biethday. We don't do anything to celebrate it. We treat it as a normal day. We have had enough of eating so there is nothing more to enjoy eating.

Pa: We sent mum a Happy Birthday Card sometime back. Hope you have gotten that. We had sent something for Siow Sing's birthday but she says she hasn't received it after many many weeks! Did you see my question above? Aik-Siong

13th.May.10. (Thu.) 0734hrs.

Today is the famous May13 of Malaysia. The Malay NGO by the name of GERAKAN KEBANGKITAN RAYAT (GERTAK)was planning to hold a rally themed 'MELAYU BANGKIT' in Trengganu today. It was reported that the former PM Mahatir was invited to speak at the rally. But alas it was cancelled on the advise of the Police. As to why they choose today to do it is a mystery. Your guess is as good as mine. The morning is cloudy and not so humid, it is quite pleasant.

15t.May.10. (Sat.) 1830hrs.

The weather is fine for the whole day. I am waiting for it to cool down a bit before going for the evening walk. This morning mum and I went to the Jln. Pahang Mc.Donald for a pancake breadfast. Well, that is my day.

Pa: Is GERTAK a politcal party? What is their goal? Aik-Siong

19th.May.10. (Wed.) 2200hrs.

It is not a polical party, it's a Malay NG0 by the name of GERAKAN KEBANGKIAN RAYAT. It is fighting for the rights of the Malays. UMNO as a political party has got to be a bit subtle and diplomatic althought it represents the Malays. Today is another day although I had been a bit busy with the affairs of the JOB since we don't have a management company to run it for us. So we have to handle the business of running it ourselves, such thing like sending off the invoices and maintaining the satements of accounts etc.

22nd.May.10. (Sat.) 1820hrs.

Went to Jln. Pahang Mc.Donald's for pan cakes breakfast with mum then went to town centre to look at the Pudu Raya bus station which is under renovation now. It will take about four months to be ready. The street is a pleasure to drive through now. It was a hell for motor vehicles. The new temporary station is located by the side of the City Police headquarters in front of the old pudu Prison. Actually it is better for it to be there permanently. Due to the bad economic situation, the old Pudu Prison and the Merdeka Stadium are still standing there in the rundown state. By the way the Pudu Preson is no more in use.

Pa: You and mum seems to like McDonald's pancake. How did you discover it? Aik-Siong

26th.May.10. (Wed.) 0725hrs.

Well, to answer your question is simple. I can read and write can't I? So I read the adverts and find out what is good to eat etc. Although I don't buy a lot of things but I do want to know what is avaible for us. I had been eating the pancakes in Singapore when you were there but stangely enough the pancakes have just been introduced to KL very lately.

Pa: School is over. So everyone is in the holiday mood - watching movies, graduation parties, sleepovers, games, TV, etc. Aik-Siong

2nd.Jun.10. (Wed.) 0710hrs

For us the two-week school holidays will begin at the end of this week. For the time being we don't have any holiday plan. Most probably we will stay in. I am not very keen of going to the Shanghai Expo after seeing the crowd in the CCTV news through the TVU player. CCTV news shows us about the expo at 1210hrs everyday. Of course it is more interesting if we can be there in person. At the moment there is no tour agency arranging to go to the expo exclusively. I am waiting to see the result of the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

3rd.Jun.10. (Thu.) 2115hrs.

Star 'Feds meet film director about spill' AP. Quite right get the film director to do something real for a change instead of creating the nonsense to make the fools' money. Ya, if they fail I would recommend that they come to Malaysia to ask for bomohs' help. Where are the MIT engineers?

5th.Jun.10. (Sat.) 0540hrs.

Heaven is great, let the Big Brother has some discomfort with the oil spill. Otherwise they are too comfortable to creat mischief around the world. When one or two mad men started chopping people in the street in China the western press said it is a social unheaval due to discontend with the govt. Now that a taxi driver gunning down people in England, what do we call it?

8th.Jun.10. (Tue.) 1750hrs.

This is the month of Jun. and Jun. 4th. had passed a few days ago. The foreign media is still bring up the Tiananmen Square thing again. Does it matter who ordered the use of force to crush the mob. The fact is without crushing the riot at that time it wouldn't have the China of today. It will be a scientific China in say ten years' time. That is what the Chinese had been fighting for all this time. Whoever wanted it to be as what it was during the era of the Manchu Dynasty must be a traitor to China. Every thinking Chinese will take it that the crushing of the Tiananmen mob was a blessing in disquise. Thank Heaven.

10th.Jun.10. (Thu.) 0505hrs.

Yesterday, went to the Science Centre with Lip Wern. We spent more than 31/2 hrs in there. It seems that he enjoy staying there playing around with the digital staff. He made friends easily. It raining the whole evening so there was no evening walk, will walk this morning. It seems that the Afghans are better fighters than the Iraqis. They have done more harms to the Nato troops. That is good, let them know they just cannot walk in anywhere they like and win.

12th.Jun.10. (Sat.) 0818hrs.

This morning at 0600hrs read the article 'China: the new Silican Valley ?' in the CNN website. It is a stimulating article. I write this down because I want to know as to when it will become reality. It was reported that China is currently in the number two position in the the super computer race. In the articles those smart people say that the Chinese education does not make the Chinese innovative until two generations to come. So they can still relax. Remember the hare in the hare and the tortoise race? I hope it will be like tath, so let us see! At the meantime let them dance and sing and relax in the beaches.

14th.Jun.10. (Mon.) 0730hrs.

It is a cloudy morning but the air is humid. The humid weather had been here for quite sometime and it lasts longer this year. It makes us feel uncomfortable with sticky skin and the air is suffocating like. On Saturday night Lip Wern came to our house after riding the buggy and played at the children play ground. He brought along his Avata disc to show the film to us. Of course we have heard a lot about the film. We heard about its revolutionary creativity and innovation etc. etc. Well, it is a typical American stereotype. The Colonel is the typical American who believes in voilence military fire power to subdue other people. SS was busy cooking something to entertain the folks from Canada who were going back after about a week's stay. They came to celebrate Lip's mother's 85th. birthday. So she asked us to look after LW for a while.

18th.Jun.10. (Fri.) 1840hrs.

I feel guilty for not writing anything at all for the last four days because I have nothing to write about. Of course there are a lot of things to talk about but will it help to solve them. So it is better to be silence and be happy. Let us be the spectators rather than the busybodies.

Pa: You are doing well writing at all. How is the Koh Association? Are you watching World Cup football? Aik-Siong

20th.Jun.10. (Sun.) 2200hrs.

I was born during the no fathers's day era, so father's day is not a celebrated day for me and I also think it has no real meaning in it. Just imagine if half of all the fathers are really fulfilly theirs obligations as fathers then the world would have been better than what it is now. We didn't know where to go so we decided to go to Sungei Wang for a jalan jalan and ended up at the Lot. 10 hawker center for lunch. I had my normal "wantan mee" while mama had a roasted duck rice. The hawkers in the Lot.10 are the ones that have had more than fifty's years history operating in KL city. They have been hand picked by the boss of Lot. 10 to carry out their business in there. The place was purposely designed for it. It is a decent place to eat our food. Next time when u people come back here we will never take u all to go to the hawker center in Kepong for food. It is a horrible place.

Pa: That is interesting to know about Lot 10. What was the price of your wan ton mee? Aik-Siong.

22nd.Jun.10. (Tue.) 0825hrs.

The price is reasonable at RM8.50 and the taste is good plus the place is of a high standard with the cleanliness etc. To put it in a nutshell it is worth it. If we want to maintain high standard of lifestyle we must pay for it if it is reasonable. The sequence of my surfing the internet is first I go to the BBC and second to the CNN and follow to the China Daily, Xinhuanet, Singaore's Zaobao and Malaysiakini. I go to the BBC first because it carries the whole world's news the fastest and also I read English faster than the Chinese. Secondly I can read bad news from China faster and more thoroughly because they love something bad to happen there. BBC also carries more UK and European news items. CNN carries more US news and also reporting negenative news from China extensively. They spice the Chinese news with the derogatory discriptions. They always try to give you the impression that the Chinese is all the time follow the tune of the Uncle Sam. This morning there was an article on the floating of the Yuen is a good example. (To know more must read the article yourself. It is in the CNN website.)

Pa: I am glad that noodle were worth it. I once had wanton mee in Mandarin Hotel in Singapore which cost S$15 and it was horrible. Huge amounts of cha siew and wantan that was out of proportion with the mee. I am glad that you are reading the world. The internet has given everyone a chance to have their say and we are free to choose. Do recognize that nations are always competing - that is human nature. Love to you and mum. Aik-Siong

27th.Jun.10. (Sun.) 2045hrs.

Well, it is time for me to write something. It had been a four-blank days. It didn't occur to me before but it occur to me this evening when I watch the TV news. I saw those G8 leaders laughing and jokingly walked to their conferences. I come to realise that they are nobody but "kaki hutang", they borrow money to run their countries. The only thing I admire them is their talkings. They can talk beautifully.

28th.Jun.10. (Mon.) 1600hrs.

If I am not mistaken, yesterday I read a survey that most of the Americans believe that in the next 40yrs there will be a world war. At first I brushed it off as one of those nonsense staff as always appeared in the newspaper but then after pondering it a bit deeper it occurred to me that it can happen. U know why, now they 'hutang' to pass the days, in forty years time they will have nowhere to 'hutang' from, then they must start to rob, then of course there will be war. That was how the colonialism started because they started to rob other people because they have superior weapons. Isn't it logical?!.

29th.Jun.10. (Tue.) 2045hrs.

I lernt from the history book that Chinese monks went to India to learn Buddhism and Indian philosophy etc.etc. I was thinking that why they didn't go a bit further to Greece or any other places where the modern civilisation was beginning to bloom. Well, my idea is being realised now. The Greece govt. had signed quite a bit of agreements with China among them is allowing the Chinese to build a hotel and that they are encouraging the Chinese tourists to visit the country. By so doing I hope that the Chinese will pick up some of the Western civilisations from them. So finally after seventy years at last I see it happens.

Pa: Yep, the Chinese are on a roll. Hope that they are wise like Lee Kwan Yew. Singapore is rank only behind Geneva and Zurich as most livable cities. You are writing about your thoughts. That is great. Love Aik-Siong

3rd.Jul.10. (Sat.) 0400hrs.

Lately, say beginning from this year, after about two hours of sleep I will wake up fresh refuse to fall asleep again. So, to kill time I surf the net. Luckily I have the computer to keep me amused. Yesterday I was reading about the deciphering of the 'Plato Code' by a professor and on the side line it was stated that Plato once said: Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools because they have to say something. Do you think I should say anything at all?

Pa: I think you should always say as much as you can especially if you are wise. You need to convince the listeners that you are wise. That is why advertising is so so effective. They say more than anyone else. Do not be shy to talk now. You have the benefit of age and experience. Aik-Siong.

10th.Jul.10. (Sat.) 1830hrs.

Now, I am back in business. It is raining now, it stops me from going for my evening walk. The hot spell seems to be over now. Fow time being I don't seem to have anything to write about, everything is more or less the same.

12th.Jul.10. (Mon.) 0025hrs.

Well, to be exact now is Monday morning. Because I can't sleep, so I start to write this stuff. Being a Sunday we had a lot of time to nap so this is what happened. It was a peaceful Sunday. we had a lot of rest. In the evening part we went to the Lake Garden with the two maids and the little emperor LW because his parents wanted to go to Church without him. We enjoyed playing badminton and playing in the children play ground. We totally spent about two hours there before sending him back.

13th.Jul.10. (Tue.) 1830hrs.

Went to town by bus and spent about 3hrs there so there is no evening walk. At the sametime it looks like it is going to rain. The purpose of going to town is to make myself tired. On returning from town I had a sound nap for more than an hour. True enough the rain is here already.

14th.Jul.10. (Wed.) 2330hrs.

I took half an hour to write down today's event but unfortunately mum switch off the router before I could 'save page' it. She does not know what the heck the router is for. She just wants to save electricity. The time now is 0030hrs Thursday morning. So that's it, I am going to sleep.

17th.Jul.10. (Sat.) 1240hrs.

I wanted to write something but when I opened up my computer I was tempted to surf the net first and once starting to surf the net it will be the end of it. Because there are so many things to read. So, this morning I started to begin with the Wiki first. Well, the morning is bright but not burning hot and mom and the maid had gone for shopping as to day is Saturday. I will be staying home till my evening walk time. Nowadays I do my exercise at the Taman Rainbow gargen with the various exercise equipt first before going for my walk. The whole process will take about two solid hours every day just to make myself really tired. It is noted that the West has quite successfully test flight the solar plane. That is typical of the West before anythinng else they started to talk about how to employ this technology into the military use. Currently their unmaned aeroplane had done a lot of killing on the civilian population in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

18th.Jul.10. (Sun.) 1830hrs.

Actually EM invited us to go to Melaka to pay a visit to Mei Wah and the rest before she depart to Canada. I feel Melaka is so boring that I choose to stay back. We went to Kepong for a roas-duck lunch after which we went to a newly opened Tesco shopping mall near by for a look-see. On coming back we had a good nap. It is raining now so I just have to stay back from my evening walk. That will be my Sunday today.

20th.Jul.10. (Tue.) 1355hrs.

Hurray!! The uncle sams have perfected the use of laser weapons to keep the world-peace. Most of the main Western papers are praising of its achievement. They are boasting about its capability. They are showing it off in the Famborough Air Show in England. I went to the air show when I was in England in 1959. At the mean time it was reported that the Chinese had destroyed their own satellite in space and the West is comdaming it for their own good reasons. To me it is great, since the chinese have the ability to make the wstern world alarm, that must be something fantastic.

22nd.Jul.10. (Thu.) 0100hrs.

Got up after one and half hours of sleep. And now plus a bad cough in the middle of the night makes life quite uncomfortable. Surfed the net and come to this 'Green fury over China's golfing Hawaii' in the CNN. Just because people can do bigger things than they can they start to say a lot of nonsense. This is a typical sour grapes mentality of the westerners. They bring in the environmentalists all that sort of bull sit. If they build this kind of project in US, they would boast about the grand designs etc.etc., the normal stuff as normal. Betul busy body, lah! If something would happen to the three gorge dam today they would be laughing to death but they are numb now. I would say they are the 'hati busuk' lot. With that I am going to sleep again.

29th.Jul.10. (Thu.) 2120hrs.

The electric railway line from Sentul to Batu Cave started operating today. In the morning to rode to Batu Cave and returned in the same coach and rode again in the evening for exercise purposes, so climbed the 272 stairs cases and returned. The ride was smooth, at least much better than before. It is smooth and not so noisy. It is for free now until 4th. of Aug after which the fare from Sentul to Batu Cave will be RM 2/=. For people living in our area it will be cheaper to take bus to the centre of KL. It also will only cost RM1/= only.

1st.Aug.10. (Sun.) 0725hrs.

Wanted to write but after surfing the net it was too tired to write anything because there were so many things to read in the net. As I said before wherever they tread there will deaths and sufferings follow. Two or three days ago she came to attend the ASEAN summit meeting in Vietnam and spoke of her national interest in the South China seas there followed the flurry of claims on the islands in the area. Nations involved started to buy submarines, aircrafts and military build-up.

4th.Aug.10. (Wed.) 1305hrs.

In the last few days I had been busy with the free train rides from Batu Kemtonmen station to Batu Cave as well as to Sentral station. I visited the old main railway station which I came to know in l952 when I took the train From Tampin railway station to Taiping to join the 1st. Bn. Federation Regiment. After which I used to stop at the station whenever I travelled between North and South of the country. In particular I liked to stop at the Gallaway Clud for a evening meal of baked beans, sausage, fried eggs, bacon and bread and of course BEER. Gallaway Clud was part of the NAFFI organisation for the Commenwealth troop staioned in the then Malaya. Note: we have to change train at the KL main station when we travelled between North and South or to East Coast. By the way the club was situated in front of the Mail Railway Station. Today is the last day of free train ride between Sentul and Batu Cave.

6th.Aug.10. (Fri.) 2230hrs.

Went to the govt. clinic for my cough. The cough stop for two days after finishing the medicine and it started again last night. It had been quiet for the last days. Stayed at home and rest.

8th.Aug.10. (Sun.) 0835hrs.

Yesterday (7.8.10. Sat.) attended the wedding of the daughter of my uncle's daughter in a church in old Klang Road. We arrived home at about three thirty pm. It was a simple church wedding followed by a buffet party. It was an enjoyable occasion where I met the old Malacca folks whom I had missed for so long.

9th.Aug.10. (Mon.) 2230hrs.

Yesterday Sunday and today rested at home for the whole day except for the evening walk. Had quite a cough for about two weeks.

10th.Aug.10. (Tue.) 1815hrs.

The weather is very oppressive, the body is sweaty all the time feeling very uncomfortable. I choose to stay at home because I did not get a good night sleep due to the caough. It is OK it well be over soon. Instead of the evening walk mum and I plan to take a train ride to KL. The school will be over a bit earlier due to the beginning of puasa month. To night they are going to see the moon so the puasa will start either tomorrow or day after tomorrow as usual.

14th.Aug.10. (Sat.) 0800hrs.

After travelling by train to town, it is found that it is better than travelling by bus to KL. It costs RM l.00 to reach Sentral in Brickfield or any station before it. It is more comfortable with the ample air-con. So my previous assumption was totally wrong. The political situation in the Far East is again tense due to a number of military exercises held in the Yellow Seas and the South China Seas between the US and its stooges. As I wrote a few days ago wherever they tread it will be deaths and miseries. She came and spoke of her national interests in the Asean summit at the end of last month, that's it trouble is brewing since then.

15th.Aug.10. (Sun.) 0845hrs.

During the Mancho time the Emperor would have gone to the Heavenly Temple to pray for devine mercy for the disasters that had happened in China. They could not do anything else except to leave the victims to their own fates. During the KMT time the govt. would wait for aids from their benefactors the Uncle Sam and other Western democratic countries. But now the govt. did not ask any help from anybody except mounting the rescue operations on their own. The Western press is quiet about it and the so-called activists normally are so noisy and are so noiseless now, so one can assume that the rescue effort must be OK. In Pakistan with the flood ravaging the country the picture is different and the reports from the Western press is somewhat hopeless. Of course they have an elected govt. elected by the people. So what?

17th.Aug.10. (Tue.) 1700hrs.

I have a complete rest since yester and to-day because of gout. Went to the 24hr klinic at 0030hrs on Monday morning. It cost RM75.00 for it. At this point of time it is ok. Just finished reading from the BBC website that the US military is concerned about the rise of the Chinese military power. They are pulling out of Iraq very soon after messing up the poor country thoroughly and planning to pull out of Afghan pretty soon and now it is preparing a new advanture. How come the creator can creat these type of human beings to punish the mankind?

22nd.Aug.10. (Sun.) 2200hrs.

Two days ago I wrote about my going to KL by train for beef noodle at the usual mee stall on the 19th. of Aug. The next day I did the same thing but this time I went to Lot. 10 for the beef noodle (kun lou) at the suposedly the best and the oldest mee seller in KL. But when I clicked on the 'Save page' it was not saved due to the some technical problem. Well, yesterday we went to FH just to see how it is now. The surrounding is kept clean but the buildings are getting old. According to the supervisor there some of the buildings' roof is rotting. At this point of time nobody seems to know what is going to happedn.

26th.Aug.10. (Thu.) 0750hrs.

Life is going on prety well except for two things, one is the cough which does not show any sign of letting off. The second thing is the management office clerk had created a bit of discomfort by not banking in the collection for the month of August. We had to chase her to do it many many times. Finally she backed in the money at 7pm. We had thought that she may have used up the monery. Normally that is the case, people just cannot see monry. I am sending letters to the unitowners to bank in the maintenance and other fees direct to our own account instead of going through her from lst. of Sept. That will save us from misery and agony.

29th.Aug.10. (Sun.) 0850hrs.

It is a fine Sunday morning. It is not very sunny but the air is humid. Mum is away in Hatnya and the house is in deep silence. The China Press reporter and a photographer came to visit the GAO assocition and held a discusson on the activities of the association yesterday afternoon. Hope that the publication of the association story will attract more GAO people to join.

30th.Aug.10. (Mon.) 2145hrs.

Today is the Merdeka Day eve, I don't notice anything special. Went to town to pass time. Napped and went for a walk in the Metropolitan Garden.

4th.Sep.10. (Sat.) 1920hrs.

Merdeka Day had come to pass there was nothing good and nothing bad happened. My daily life was unchange. Today Mum, I, the maid and LP took the train to Mid. Valley. The train was packed to and fro due to coming Hari Raya I think. We spent about three hours there roaming around.

7th.Sep.10. (Tue.) 2230hrs.

Yesterday Mum and I took the train to Sentral and then change to monorail to Sg.Wang we plan to roam around there but a phone call spoiled our plan. The phone call was from a law firm telling us that a carrier serviceman will be delivering the house agreement to our house at about two pm. So we cut short our trip but finally the delivery was not done. The agreement is about a house belong to Ah Choo transferred to mum for giving her a loan to buy her present house. The agreement finally was delivered today afternoon. Today originally we planned to take a train trip stopping at Bank Negara and then to Sogo with LW thinking that he is having a school holiday. It turned out that he has a tuition class in the afternoon, so the trip was postphoned to tomorrow. His mother drove him to our house and kept him with us while she went for an hair cut. They left after her mother's hair-cut was done and mum had prepared his favourite fried rice was consumned.

10th.Sep.10. (Fri.) 1340hrs.

Today is Hari Raya Adifiltri, so it is a holiday. The weather is cloudy and quite pleasantly cool. I am to rest at home and will go for the evening walk. I am anxiously waiting to see as to whether they will really carry out the burning of the Koran as planned on 9/11.

11th.Sep.10. (Sat.) 2120hrs.

I am the saddest man this evening. I learnt from the 8pam TV news that the bonfire as promised did not materialised. I want it to happen so that the whole world will be in flame. That will make everybody busy to look after oneself. When everyone is at peace more mischief will be created to make people restless. This morning three of us took a train ride to midvalley for a spree. We spent the whole morning there until 4pm. Mum bought a pair of Adidas sport shoes for 300ringgits.

12th.Sep.10. A relax Sunday doing nothing. 13th.Sep.10. Spent the whole morning in doing something for the JOB such things like getting 2009's bank statements for Auditting since the Badaraya is asking for it etc. Read articles on 9/ll incident on its 9th. comemorations. It was a simple incident but on its 9th. year it had become something of a different character. Will the date of 9/11 be a turning point for USA. Just like the Chinese saying say: can a small spark turn into a wildfire?

15th.Sep.10. (Wed.) 2200hrs.

Because of my cough syrup it makes me feel sleeping. So I have been sleeping more than ever before and it makes me feel lazy as well. Stayed at home since Monday after seeing the doctor. I feel better after taking the medicine. I had been seeing two doctors before this but it did not cure my cough but with this doctor she may have given me the right kind of medicine and it maes me feel very much better. I hope by tomorrow it will be totally cured.

18th.Sep.10. (1730hrs.)

Finally Se Mui's wedding day had arrived. We went to his appartment to wait for the bride and the bridegroom to arrive for the "chim cha" ceremony but they were so late that all the guests were hungry and with their agreement we had the lunch without them. They finally arived at about 1.30pm and after the lengthy "chim cha" ceremony we left for home at about 3.30pm. After a short nap we are now going to SS's house to meet up with EM to proceed to the restaurant at Midvally in the Unser

21st.Sep.10. (1355hrs.)

19th. Sunday. Gao Assn. held a Moon Cake celebration for the members from 1500-1700hrs. 20th. Monday. The Han couple was taken by Mai Chin and the gang went to shopping for the whole day and had some kind of farewell dinner in a nearby restaurant with us attending. They left for Hainan Island this morning at 0600hrs. They rang up to say they have arrived at about 1000hrs. The sky is cloudy and the North-East monsoon is round the corner and more rainny days are expected.

23rd.Sep.10. (1750hrs.)

22nd.Sep.10. Attended a farewell dinner in a Bamboo Garden restaurant for the Tan group from Hainan island. So the wedding episod has come to and end. The new chapter is to begin. Let us see how the life story is to progress. Now I am interested in following the story of the forthcoming commenwealth sports meeting to be held in capital of India. I do not have to write too much but just read the reports from the BBC. They are trying to show off what they can do and so let see the result. The reason why I am so interested is because they are try hard to hold a this sporting event that will win the praise of the world being better than the Olypic Games held by China.

25th.Sep.10. (Sat.) 2223hrs.

Today is supposed to be our 55th.wedding aniversary. So what? It is lucky that we are surviving quite smoothly thus far. There is no cause for any celebration. Let nature takes its own course. This afternoon we went to Sogo by train with LP. His mother went for facial and his father went to a wedding party so he was sent here for care. In order to pass time we went to Sogo to roam around.

26th.Sep.1O. (Sun.) 2O25hrs.

Took the commuter train to Tanjong Malam to see how it feels. The unpleasnt part is taking a long time (about one hou( to wait at Rawang station to change train to Tanjong Malim, otherwise the trip was smooth. I am glad to live to see a Chinese national was freed by the Jap. and taken back to China with a chartered plane. The white men have had the honour of sending an aircraft carrier to rescue their single national from their adversary.

29th.Sep.10. (Wed.) 2120hrs.

Went to Bukit Pelandok with five members of the Gao Assn. to see a sick son of a member of Gao Assn. We started off at about 10am and returned at about 5.30pm. It is a tiring day. We wasted a lot of time in talking nonsense. We had lunch in a restaurant in Sg. Pelek before heading back home.

22nd.Oct.10. (Fri.) 1715hrs.

The new computer is finally with me. With a bit of adjustment, I finally can start it. It seems that the touch curser is very sensitive and thus make it difficult to use.

25th.Oct.10. (Mon.) 0700hrs.

Before the formation of New China there was no "human rights" for the Chinese and the Asians in generat for that matter. The Westerners were supposed to be ruling the world. But now the same people are talking about "human rights" for the Chinese. To my rekoning it is MZD that gave the "human rights" to the Chinese. The rest is nothing but noise makers. The rest of them are nothing but noise makers.

6th.Nov.10. (Sat.) 0735hrs.

The new computer needs to adjust to suit my style. So this done now.

During the gap of time, I had been to Taipei to attend the second world GAO gathering accompanied by EM. Mum could not go because of the timing. The gathering is once in three years. The next one, that is the third one will be held in Henan provice in China in 2013. Henan province is supposed to be the birth place of the Han race of the Chinese population. The actual gathering took place on 31st. Oct. but we arrived there two days before and left one day after.

16th.Nov.10. (Tue.) 0730hrs.

I have been thinking, that, how lucky I am to have the chance to see the 'sick man of Asia' has now recovered and become the strong and healthy man before I close my eyes. Up to last night the Chinese had won 53 gold medals for ahead of the rest. Today the Westerners are comparing the Chinese and the Indians like that of the Hare and the Tortoise in the classic story of the race of 'the Hare and the Tortoise'. The outcome of the race was the tortoise won the race. Of course the story didn't mention the colour of the hare neither the tortoise. I guess the hare must be white while the tortoise is of the normal colour. But this time the race is between the Yellow Hare and Black Tortoise. I bet you the Black Tortoise will never be so lucky.

20th.Nov.10. (Sat.) 0925hrs.

For the last few days life had been peaceful and quiet. By this morning China has got l26 gold far far ahead of that of S.Korea and Japan. The Chinese is also playing with aeroplanes now. In no time they will be manufactruing big planes to compete with the West. All these good tidings make me feel very happy.

22nd.Nov.10. (Mon.) 2155hrs.

There is nothing special to write about my daily life except that in the evenings I took the comuter train to the KL railway station and walked to the Lake Garden for my exercise and on completion walked back to the station and returned home. All that took about two and half hours or three depending how long I have to wait for the train. The next thing is the Black tortoise is far behind the Chinese medal tally in the Asian Games.

25th.Nov.10. (Thu.) 1735hrs.

It is now Northwest monsoon, so it rains every day. It is pouring now. There was nothing special happening for the last few days.

26th.Nov.10. (Fri.) 1415hrs.

Didn't I say wherever the Americans go there will death and misery. Why should there be war exercise when there is no war. Isn't it the cold war is over? It is just that the Americans are not comfortable when there is peace. They need wars to sustain their war machinery. They need wars to show off their ego and their supperiority.

28th.Nov.10. (Sun.) 0930hrs.

Mom is in Penang, she left yesterday for a week-end tour. I checked on the internet news for any news from the Korea peninsula as the US-South Korean war exercise begins. As it is now it looks like the so-called the free world seems to like to creat trouble around the world. Oh yah! I forgot to add this this morning, that the Asian Games had come to a close with 199 gold, 119 silver and 98 bronze medals China should not be called as 'the sick man of Asia' any more. The next target is to become first in the scientific achievement.

2nd.Dec.10. (Thu.) 0510hrs.

(30th Tue.)Kok Art's boss had passed away so we to went to his house at Zooview Garden to pay our last respect. The funeral will be held at 2pm today. He passed away on last Saturday at age ninety. (1st.Wed.)Went to Heng Jin's shop to buy tea and ended up with a Hong Kong style roasted goose and duck lunch at Tmn Maluri,Cheras. Paid by him.

6th.Dec.10. (Mon.) 2213hrs.

There is nothing much to write about my personal life. But I feel that the political atmoshpere in Asia is sort of clouded with war since the unmber one super power declared that it is coming back to this part of the world just recently. During the cold war era we alway pointed our finger towrads the Eastern Block for any trouble but now the cold war is gone and yet the world is still tense with the threat of war. Whose fault is it?. The imperialists and the colonialists are ever ready for war to plunder and killing.

9th.Dec.10. (Thu.) 2125hrs.

The weather is very much cooler due to the North-East monsoon. It rains most of the evenings. I don't do anything except reading the newspapers and surf the net. The world is far from peaceful in spite of people being given the Nobel Peace Prize. The joke is the people who is receiving the award is far from promoting peace. To have a peace of mind is best not to think of anything.

10th.Dec.10. (Fri.) 2130hrs.

Glad to see that a lot of people domestically and internationally support China on the issue of the Nobel Peace prize. People has realised the ploy of the West. Their trickery and bluff do not work like before any more.

15th.Dec.10. (Wed.) 2045hrs.

Everything is going on well, there is nothing to write.

20.Dec.10. (Mon.) 0015hrs.

In this few days it looks like S.Korea is set to have a fight with the N.Korea. The Jap. is also trying to be funning by holding war drill etc.

25th.Dec.10. (Sat.) 1425hrs.

Lazy to write. In the last few days my cough had eased a lot. It is OK now. The dentist took out my left side molar three days ago. A new denture will be decided after three months. The tense situation in the Korean peninsular seemsed to have subsided at least for time being. The S.Korean and the Jap seemed to be very aggressive with the support of hteir ferous master.

28th.Dec.10. (Tue.) 2220hrs.

Went to University Hosp. for appt. for left eye cataract operation. The date is 18th.Jan.2011. I am very lucky to get such a close date. There was a big crowd of patients. I expected the date of operation will be far away but it turned out to be otherwise. I am very happy about it. Went for a bowl of Sa Ho Woun and then to have a foot massage with Lip in SS2.

1st.Jan.11. (Sat.) 0800hrs.

A cool new year morning. Yesterday was declared a holiday because our football team won the South-East Asian cup final so the PM declared a holiday to belebrate. So we are having a cool three-day holidays. You see how fortunate we Malaysians are!

7th.Jan.11. (Fri.) 0740hrs.

Yesterday spent the whole morning in the University Hospital for ECG and other preparation for my left eye cataract operation on the 19.Jan.11. Just only before this I was reading that China had sucessfuly develped the "aircraft carrier killer" missiles from the BBC. I also learnt that China is expanding her millitary might to fight against the American apresence in Asia. How glad I am!

9th.Jan.11. (Sun.) 1030hrs.

Yesterday evening we sent Lip to the airport for Japan for a short computer course. Poverty walks in the main door, happiness jumps out of the window. That is what really hapen in America now. They are no more very civilise now. They start shooting now. What is going to happen later is yet to be seen.

12th.Jan.11. (Wed.) 0030hrs.

The Chinese had successfully flight-tested her J20 stealth fighter plane. I can safely say that China is finally a modern, industrialised and scientific nation. I am glad that it happens during my life time.

16th.Jan.11. (Sat.) 0540hrs.

Cool morning it is very nice. It is a noisy morning with the dog barks and clock alarm ring while the lazy sleeper failed to wake up. Surfed the BBC and CNN.

20th.Jan.11. (Thu.) 1820hrs.

A lot of water had passed though under bridge in the past four days. First the GAO assn. president's second and the last son got married. Attended the wedding dinner at Klang with EM and mum. It was a hundred-table Chinese dinner. Heng Jin and his wife and son were with us in the same table. The occassion happened on 17th. Sunday. Second, went to have my left eye cataract operation, it went on smoothly. This morning went for follow-up check-up. President Hu's visit to US seemed to be very cordial and friendly. It is not as if a war between the two countries is erupting as painted by the medias.

29th.Jan.11. (Sat.) 1848hra.

Eight solid days had gone by without me sritting anything at all. After the left eye operation, went for a series of tests and so I felt too lazy to concentrate in anything. Afterall the world had gone by peacefully or traumatically as normal. This morning went to visit the newly opened bus-station meant for south bound buses. It is an ultra modern bus station located near the Sg. Besi area.

30th.Jan.11. (Sun.) 2100hrs.

The western vultures are overjoyed with the riots in the Middle East region. They love to see troubles eithter or small.

2nd.Feb.11. (Tue.) 1735hrs.

Last night we had a family reunion dinner. To make it a bit unusual so ordered a steamed port leg from the nearby restaurant. The soup was still the favourite. The rest of the dishes were all the same. Next year we will order a Hakka favourite dish for a change. Strange this idea never occurred to us before, only now I feel that the dinner had been monotonous. As usual we will celebrate the Rabbit year as any other CNY.

6th.Feb.11. (Sun.)1740hrs.

Today is the 4th. day of the CNY. Went up to the Silverpark on the First Day of CNY and spent two nights there. The surrounding is well kept but the buildings are in poor conditions. With the JMB doing the maintenance job itself it is hoped that it will be OK. It is rumoured that the strata title will be issued in May this year or so. Plus the property boom is in progress it is hoped that the price of the property there will be OK too. However we should disposed of the unit when the price is right. With about four thousand ringgits of annual maintenance fees we can spend about ten days of holiday up there in the hotel without the hassles.

25th.Feb.11. (Fri.) 2350hrs.

I am glad that I am back again after lighting put off the computer for about twenty days. Lip provided me with the spare one in order for me to pass my time. Well it is quite late now, I will begin writting again when I am really happy.

26th.Feb.11. (Sat.) 1530hrs.

Hope that Col. Gaddafi is not a mere paper tiger. Just prove you are a real hero. Give the mobsters a good fight. Otherwise they may think that a govt. can be toppled just using FaceBook or Internet as suggested by the West.

1st.Mar.11. (Tue.)

Went to govt. clinic at Batu Lima for the routine blood pressure check. The previous blood test results show that Cholesterol is slightly above the tolerable level other than that everything else is OK. Lately with the turmoil in the Middle East the West is try to stir trouble with China with the so-called 'Jasmine revolution" with the Facebook and Twitter ect. I just wonder why they want all teses troubles. What benefits do they expect from it? Or it is their joy in seeing this sort of thing happening in the whole world. Indeed God bless them.

3rd.Mar.11. (Thu.) 1940hrs.

There is nothing to write about my daily life. Read English and Chinese newspapers and the surf the net in both languages. Well, I can say that I know something what is going on in the world. I am not mad but I am glad that Col. Gaddafi is putting down the unplanned and rowdy mob demonstration. Let them learn that just come out shouting for democracy and freedom of speech that pleases the West will do the trick is getting nowhere.

4th. Mar.11. (Fri.) 1835hrs.

I am OK I have had a good day. I am glad to see that Gaddafi is fighting back strongly. Don't let the ruffians see the day.

10th.Mar.11. (Sat.) 0720hrs.

Learnt from the BBC website that a team of BBC reporters had been beaten up by the Libyan solders while trying to reach a war jone area. I think they have now met their match otherwise they think that they are high and mighty.

11th.Mar.11. (Fri.) 0715hrs.

I am glad to read that Col. Gaddafi is putting the 'Facebook revolution' down. How can you allow people using facebook to creat all the trouble. Put them down!!! I salute u Col.

12th.Mar.11. (Sat.) 1845hrs.

Col. Gaddafi is really lucky indeed to have a loyal son who is willing to fight for him. His govt. is more organised to stand the onslaught.

14th.Mar.11. (Mon.) 2205hrs.

There is a lot of praises for the Japanese govertment and the Japanese people on the latest disaster for being calm, orderly and helpful etc.etc. Sorry to say the only memory of the Japanese for me is the unhuman acts they had done to us during the three and eight months of occupation during the WWll. Their behavour is still vividly ingrained in my mind. They are not humans. ingraved in my mind. I have no love for them.

17th.Mar.11. (Thu.) 1430hrs.

I am very happy to learn that Col. Gaddafi is winning. It does not matter how u win the war as along as u win it.

18th.Mar.11. (Fri.) 1635hrs.

It is reported in the Chinadaily.com that France if taking military action against Libya within hours. Well, I hope they get a bloody nose for it.

19th.Mar.11. (Sat.) 0835hrs.

The West imposed no-fly zone in Libya because they wanted to protect the civilian population but in Pakistan the drone killed 38 civilians nobody said anything. Talk about using military force, the West will be too willing to carry it out quickly and deligently.

20th.Mar.11. (Sun.) 0905hrs.

It is a lovely Sunday morning, it is sunny and cool. It is a perfect weather to live in but this will be over after eleven o'clock.

Now it is clear that the so-call rebels in Libya are not the sons of Libyan but agents of foreigh powers. After taking over the power this bunch of people will do no good for the ordinary folks of Libya but to serve the interest of the powers that them in. God bless the ordinary Libyans.

21st.Mar.11. (Mon.) 2315hrs.

While a lot of the Malaysians sympathise and offer help whatever we can to help the Japanese victims of the tsunami, it surprised me to read in the Star that the Japanese govt. anounced that it supports the bombing of Libya. That shows that the Japanese colonial and imperialistic mind-set.

22nd.Mar.11. (Tue.) 1745hrs.

By looking at the Western powers using the air power I hope that China is wise enought to develope better weaponry to counter the West when the time arrives. Don't let them fool us that they are peace loving people. They will eat you up without hasitation whenever they can.

25th.Mar.11. (Fri.) 1810hrs.

l. I notice that the poor South Eastian nations are generously donate money to the wealthy Japanese although they are the victims of the tsunami. I think it would be more beneficial to send more workers to help them to clean up the rubbish if they love the Japanese so much. 2. I think SEX has become the main battle cry for the Malaysian politics. 3. I think the West is really smart because their 'SMART BOMBS' don't kill civillians except the enemies.

31st.Mar.11. (Wed.) 1720hrs.

1. It is a pity that Col. Gaddafi is helpless under the imperialist bombing. He is not like the Gen. Giap of North Vietnam that gave the French and American colonalists a bloody nose that they will remember till the end of the world.

2. The election is round the corner, sex viodeo and sexual elements are widely used to smear the opposition party member.

3. When the Americans soldiers kill the Afgan civilians the explaination is they are young and ignorant and thus is excusable but not other people do it.

4. I thought hacking into other foreign country's computer machine is a smart thing to do, so what is wrong if the Australian PM's parliamentary computer and the foreign and defence ministers' machine are all suspected of being hacked. (China suspected to be CULPRIT - AFP). The real problem is can u do it or not, not whether it is right or wrong.

5th.Apr.11. (Tue.) 1440hrs.

Went to Melaka for Qing Min last Sunday (3rd.Apr.11). It was a pleasant trip. My father grave needs a bit of fill up as the coffin has rotten. We will bring changkul on our next trip. My mother's tombstone appeared to be old and dark. The inscriptons also cannot be seen clearly. I was told that the grave cannot be touched unless on Qing Min day and at the sametime I am thinking that let nature takes its course.

7th.Apr.11. (Thu.) 2250hrs.

Too lazy to write anything.

8th.Apr.ll. (Fri.) 1523hrs.

Mr. Ai WeiWei is only one rotten egg in the Chinese society. The well being of l.3 billion people is more important.

9th.Apr.11. (Sat.) 1345hrs.

Of course they will not apologise whether the bombs kill the freedom fighters or Gaddifi's soldier as long as they are Libyans afterall they asked for it. The Malaysians are really generous lots they even take away the poor school children's pocket money to donate to the victims of the Japanese earth quake and tsunami. The Japanese are so rich and on top of it they have the richest nation as friend to help them. We have alot alot of poor people need help. What a paradox!

14th.Apr.ll. (Thu.) 1800hrs.

I stopped the 'The Star' newspaper with effect yesterday. I am fed-up with it. It is so Western orientated. I keep the Nanyang for news from the Chinese community but it is still unsatisfactory for me because it is belonging to the MCA so it is so bias. With the computer I can get more news from various sources.

16th.Apr.ll. (Sat.) 0840hrs.

I am sure that the West is overjoyed at this time that Middle East and Africa are in turmoil. Now they are fanning trouble for China. During the cold war era the Eatern Block was blamed for creating trouble around the world but now we can see who is the real culprit of the world.

18th.Apr.11. (Mon.) 1720hrs.

Just finished reading the latest news from Lybya. Of course the Lybyans are suffering but whose fault is it? I think that is what the West loves to see. They would be happier to see the Chinese like that.

21st.Apr.ll. (Thu.) 2235hrs.

Whenever I oped my computer I always click on CNN and BBC for the latest news. To my relief I learnt that the WFP( i really don't know what WFP stands for) is feeding the refugees from Libya. How kind they are?!

28th.Apr.11. (Thu.) 1255hrs.

Good news, bad news, too many things happening. So have no heart to write. News from China is encouraging. They are tackling their problems with wits and wisdom. That is all that important.

2nd. May.ll. (Mon.) 2325hrs.

I am unhappy.

12th.May.11. (Thu.) 1830hrs.

Had been busy writing to the three grand children who wanted to know about the story of Jap. occupation of Malaya, the Communist upring and the history of Gao and Han family. Life for me is just the same. Reading newspapers (by the way I have stop subcribing the Star), surfing the net, walk, eat and sleep. Read the Star on line. The weather is very hot and it is forcasted that it will last next September.

16th.May.ll (Mon.) 0430hrs.

Got up at 0400hrs and could not fall asleep again. Wanted to check how serious is the flood in the US in the CNN but not a word on the flood. It was full of middle east and african troubling news, they are gleefully reporting on those subject. That is what they want to happen, so that they will have a field day reporting and taking pictures for exhibition. That is that kind of freedom they want to bring to other people except themselves.

6th.Jun.11. (Mon.) 1655hrs.

Saw a short strip of film on 4th. June on Tiananmen square on CNN. Glad that China quelled the disturbance resolutely.

19th.Jun.ll. (Sun.) 1630hrs.

The official friendly visit of the 23 members of the Singpore GAO assn. ended this morning after a hefty meal of Bak Kut Tae. The 3 days visit was a memorable one. It will foster our friendly relationship. Actually before the mendeka there was only one 'Koh Clansmen Association' for both countries. My father was a member of the assn. Unfortunately his membership certificate was burnt off with his other belongings when he passed away as normal with Chinese custom. I think this is one of the factors that motivated me to initiate the formation of the Koh Clansmen Association of FT and Selangor and finally changed to the "GAO Clansmen of Malaysia". Koh has become GAO because of the Chinese pinying.

20th.Jun.11. (Mon.) 1940hrs.

The weather is very very hot. Went to Brickfied to while away the morning part of the day. Checked the e-mail about half an hour ago and saw Dr.YF's e-mail thanking us for the reception on their visit. Replied immediately.

22nd.Jun.11. (Wed.) 1725hrs.

Went to Dr. Chua the dentist at Subang Parade to fill up my teeth on the left side of the upper jaw. It took three hours to finish the job and cost me two hundred ringgits. Permitted to drink after two hours and six hours eating solid food. At this moment I am feeling damn hungry. He is recommending me to see a specialist in Damansara Perdana for a root canal for another tooth on the right side of the upper jaw. The appointment will at ll o'clock tomorrow.

24th.Jun.11. (Fri.) 0730hrs.

Yesterday, went to see the Root Canal specialist at Damansara Perdana to discuss as to whether the specific tooth can be salvaged or not and the cost. So an appointment is made on Monday 27th. Jun. 2011 to carry out the operation. It rained in the evening and this made the night cooler and more comfortable.

25th.Jun.11. (Sat.) 0830hrs.

Yesterday, went to Sentul Post Office to collect a letter from RHB bank. As the Assn. wanted to close the account with the bank because it is inconvenient for us to use the bank, so it sent us the last cheque to close the account. Stayed home until the evening, took the KTM to Batu Cave to climb the 271 steps for exercise. Took the train from Batu Cantonmen at 1832hrs and retured on 2005hrs train.

26th.Jun.ll. (Sun.) 0520hrs.

This is for yesterday's story. Test-drive on the newly completed 33km stretch of road from Templer Park to Kuala Selangor. It is toll-free for a month. In the evening went to the small garden in Tmn Rainbow for exercise. It was a very hot day.

30th.Jun.ll. (Thu.) 2200hrs

The weather is getting kinder, it is not so hot and it rained quite many times. For the last few days there was nothing worthwile to write about except for my root canal. I have to go back on the 11th. of June to know as to whether the tooth can be saved or not.

1st.Jul.11. (Fri.) 2330hrs.

The weather is very hot today. Stayed at home to rest.

The story of CPC and KMT has been my favourite subject ever since I started to read. Today CPC celebrates its 90th. birthday in a grand scale. Its has every reason to celebrate since it makes China as what it is today while KMT is stil at its old habits of buying destructive weapons from its master to fight their own kind. The KMT have done nothing for the Chinese to be proud of except trumpeting Democracy.

3rd.Jul. ll. (Sun.) 1455hrs.

It is cloudy afternoon. It rained in the morning and it prevented three of us from climbing a small hill in Menjalala near Kepong. We have heard about the hill from many Gao assn. members, so we decided to climb it this morning but alas the rain. If it does not rain this evening then I will go for my usual evening walk in the Kg. Batu area.

5th.Jul.11. (Tue.) 0000hrs.

Mon. weather fine, stayed in doing nothing.

Today, weather fine but not very hot, went to the veteran dept. at the Tabong Haji complex to check the claim of the refund of the cataract lens. It was submitted on 29 Mar. 2011. Told to wait for a while more. Had a one and a half hours nab followed by the usual evening walk.

8th.Jul.11. (Fri.) 1835hrs.

This evening I will not go for the usual evening walk because I spent the morning walking in town.

10.Jul.11. (Sun.) 0445hrs.

Yesterday, it was a quiet day for where I live, stayed at home and clicked on Malaysiakini for news what was happening in town. Went to the Xu Shi assn. for their annual dinner in the evening.

11.Jul.11. (Mon.) 2100hrs.

The day is fine. Went to see the dentist at 1030hrs and was told to come again on 17th. of August. Now have just returned from the evening walk and watching the 8pm Mandarine news and 830pm English news. The angels of death are hovering the Asian sky now, their calls for human souls and blood are getting lounder from day to day. The atmosphere is just like the prelude of the Second World War when the Japanese were accusing other countries of their wrong doings.
